GFA Basic Editor

Hello, when GFA Basic runs at 800x600 lines are not printed correctly in the editor if i'm scrolling upward. It seems, that only the upper part of the letters are printed. This problem occurs not at 640x400 and 1024x768. It's independend of the version of STEEM, too. Do you know of a patch? Or is 80...

Yes, thats my opinion, too.
A much bigger show stopper are buggy or (even worse) not fully compatible device drivers.

If one should install sp2 or not depends on his/her requirements. I would recommend sp2 to all who use their machines for internet surfing! Sp2 has several major improvements (better firewall, security center, ...) to make surfing more secure. But if you do not surf with that computer and everything...

Aranym 0.8.10 beta

Hello,
has somebody compiled aranym successfully on cygwin? I tried it, but it does not work for me, even with libsdl installed.
I want to ask here, before asking the aranym team.
Thanks.

I wouldn't say that no one cares about slow code: On server side, all optimization is used, that is possible. There still each mb matters and each cpu second. For the desktop you are right, but i think most of the performance "degradation" in todays sw compared with old sw is related to the flood of...

i can only talk about vmware, with this tool you need to install a special mouse driver within the emulated machine. This driver increases the usability of the mouse a lot, without it the mouse is slow and cursor movements results in very high cpu load. I think, it has to do with the fact that vmwar...

Pure C is based on Borland C and a little newer and more stable. Lattice C is even in the latest version 5.06 (i guess) not really what one call stable, so allways "save" before "run". But i like it nevertheless, since it has a simple IDE to use. As far as i know pure c is still copyrighted. If not,...

Hi,
probably this is not what you want, but, it should have a build in doc., available on F1.
Turbo C is close to ansi c, so (old) books about ansi c may help, too.

Thanks a lot for your answer. Sorry i couldn't reply earlier.

Reducing the mouse speed helps a little. Just enough to work with it, but it's still not as it should be.

Thanks again for the tip!

Mouse problem

Hello,
i have installed win xp in vmware, Steem is running within it.
But the mouse cursor is uncontrollable: it moves much to fast.
Most probably it's no steem problem but one of the x86 emu below.
Is there a possibility to reduce/adjust the cursor speed in steem?
Greetings Martin

pleace click on the "download sign" (it's at the right side in the table) in my 1. reply to get the image.

If you are going to ask the aranym developers, it would be a nice idea to ask for the diskimage tool. It should run on win32, too. With this tool we could make images in all sizes.

Attached you find an image of an 500mb disk (empty). Sorry, at the moment i do not have access to a linux box and can't create images myse...

Hello thothy,
thanks for the tip!! Your version of emutos is startable under STEEM on my windows box. But the mouse tends to jump into the edges of the screen. Very strange... Maybe something is misconfigured.

emutos

Hello,
the downloadable version of emutos is still 0.7. But it seems that aranym uses an other (newer) version. Does anyone know if there is a newer version usable with ST emus?
Thanks
