Re: Some background info about Holocaust....

Hi guys, I just posted this. There are 10 posts, about half of them about Holocaust and our demos: http://www.codercorner.com/blog/?p=568 Cheers :) - Pierre I really enjoyed reading those retrospectives of the demo coding scene, genuinely intriguing stuff. Does anyone know of some more articles lik...

Games with an 'attract mode'

I'm looking for games with an arcade style attract mode - that is a demo of the game being played by the CPU while waiting for input from the player. Does anybody know which games have these? I'm sure there must be plenty. I need them to use as a backdrop for my YouTube videos. So far I have: A Preh...

Re: ATARI ST Monospace fonts

Here's a first draft of the Atari 8x16 system font as a ttf. The encoding on this one should match the Kroah font, except I think I messed up one of the dots so I might need to revise it a little, I added some iso8859-1 characters (taking some liberties...), and I didn't include the 0x00-0x1F range...

Re: The Atari ST magazine preservation project

I was very sorry to find the site unresponsive about a week ago. It's still down. I was greatly enjoying downloading and reading through the old ACE magazines. I hope it's not permanent. Any news of its fate? Sorry chap. the 'Unlimited' hosting company I was using weren't as 'unlimited' as their in...

I feel like a right tight-wad for not giving it to Wongck, but 'Summer Games' does exist and is definitely not the game in question. So does Spring Games... but it's all part of the fun    Ah, but Autumn games is my favourite by far. The hundred metre leaf-rustle and hedgehog toss a...

Sunner games. I thought that too, but the "Epyx" hint gave it away. I think it is The Games: Summer Edition. I actually haven't played it before but I'm assuming it exists due to The Games: Winter edition being around. :D That's the one Bullis, well done, chap. I feel like a right tight-w...

Nope. The photo of the great Beardo is a bit of a red herring, probably just the graphics artist showing off..

I listen to Kohina now and again, too. It doesn't take long for an ST tune to pop up, so it's alright in my book. ;) Thanks for CVGM, native. Now listening via RhythmBox! plopbox.net :) it hasn't been updated in years and is slowly disintegrating, but it's still good for some chip choonage :) What p...

Thank you very much. :) Why yes, as a matter of fact, I did. It was fun learning to draw with a mouse, and I enjoyed playing with the various colours/effects. I have those pictures saved on a disc somewhere. I also purchased animation software that I was going to try using as soon as I could get my...

Re: Atari ST Beginner Advice

Scart cables do indeed help, but still a lot of modern TVs don't like the STs video output and you could get problems such as flickering, artifacts, blurring or even no picture at all. There is a thread on this forum about multiple attempts to find a LCD TV that will work well as a colour monitor. B...
