J'aurais aussi dit "Eye of the Behorlder&...

The Mercenarysite is now at:
http://mercenarysite.free.fr

Hasn't been updated recently due to lack of spare time, and Mercenary time being spent translating Mercenary III into French for the Windows remake !

Enjoy.

Amazing you're saying that ! I interviewed the author of this game 2 months ago :-) He had reprogrammed the game for Amiga (am I allowed to say this word here ? ;)), but lost the sources. I'm currently in touch with one of his friends that helped him for the Amiga version, that should look if he sti...

Hi there, Thanks for the reply and the link. Sadly I don't find the program there. It seems actually that the program is not on the CD, it's just the author (and its programs) that is listed in a contact-list somewhere on the CD. Drumworks for Korg DDD-1

Hi all, I've got a vintage Korg DDD-1 drum machine, and I've just learnt that there was a specific Atari application for it called "drumworks ddd-1". According to DDD-1 fans, the author himself doesn't have this program anymore. Would anyone here have this editor somewhere on a disk ? Help...

Hi guys,

Sorry I'm not visiting this forum very often.
I tried the link but it appears to be dead.

Is there a way to grab the file somewhere ? Is this supposed to be Novagen's Damocles, running on Falcon ?

Thanks in advance.

Sure you can use the disks. The 1Mb you can read is the total capacity of the disk. When you format a disk, you write some information on it (amount of sectors, tracks, technical things) so it can be used by the computer. This explains the difference between what's written on the disk (1Mb) and what...

The file transfer software can be found on a site about the transputer workstation. Do a google search for transputer, atw and st-trans. Else I might post the software here, once I have finished my holidays. The software is ther,e but only for ST (unlike what they say, there's no "pctrans"...

It looks cool to me. Simple and useful options.
Any software is worth being available on the Net anyway, IMO.
So if you store it somewhere, let me know, I may give it a try some day :)

Could anyone give me more information about PCTrans and STTrans ? I've read that they support parallel transfer (with the PARCP cable it seems), is that right ? That would be very interesting if it works like Ghostlink. I've tried to download them but so far I only found STTrans (even on the archive...

It's not Bob Winner... The graphics of the demo were colorful, Bob Winner's were, erm, very strange ! 8O

Oh, and, BTW, I'm SURE it was not a dream :-)

Hi, I have the ParCP cable and tested it several years ago. Since I'm using an STe, it is MUCH faster than Ghostlink (limited to the serial 19200k/s), but the problem is that it works with a FTP-like interface. So there's no direct access to the PC drives from the desk. That's why I kept on using wi...

Hi ! No, definitely not :-) Maybe I can list all the elements I'm sure of, to make things easier for you: 1- release date: before June 1987. That should elminiate loads of games 2- the drawings filled the screen, I mean there was no black background like in the Lemmings Tribes picture, no "holes". 3...

Thanks all for the replies :-) I'm certain it was not International Karate, since IK is one of the first games I had when we bought the ST a few months later ! My brother bought the ST in 1987, June, so the "demo" was released before. I'm sorry it's very hard to say what it really looked like since ...

looking for a very old demo (the 1st I saw !)

Hi, Years ago, before my brother bought the Atari ST, I saw a demo in a shop in Paris. This demo took place maybe in Egypt, and you could see a large background in the desert, with a river and palm trees (I'm not very sure it was like this but anyway), and there were tribes living there: tiny people...
