Re: C64 Core

Yeah I‘ve seen the Arduino. But I prefer not to solder directly but use an additional board.
At the moment I think about having either one PCB for each KB or having one PCB with multiple connector.

Re: C64 Core

I just read a little about the way the official Arduino library works, seems a bit limited. It didn't seem promising for this combination shift-F1 (C64) => shift-F1 (PC) https://www.arduino.cc/en/Reference/KeyboardModifiers At the moment I think it will be enough using Keyboard.press(LEFT_SHIFT); K...

Thanks!
Basically I'm even fine with the seperated codes :-) (But in that case the Restore has to be assigned to a different key)

Re: C64 Core

Hi Sorgelig, at the moment I'm also doing some small 'research' for using a Arduino Pro Micro to adopt a classic C64 Keyboard to the Mister (others will/might follow). Yes - I know there is the 'Keyrah', but I don't need the Joystick ports and for my intention it's too big (and too expensive :-) ). ...

Re: Joystick testing thread

I'm building myself an adapter using the gamepadblock. Unfortunately, Mister registers both player inputs as P1. In retropie I could solve this issue installing the script in this page https://blog.petrockblock.com/2017/10/10/tutorial-gamepadblock-raspbian/ . It would be great if this could be impl...

Re: Local Sellers for MiSTer Expansion Boards

Hi,
I'm sorry for the long delay time, but I've been afk for about 1 week due to XMas.
I've updated the leading post with the infos I've got from the different sellers through the last week.
@sellers: Please check and send me correction information if needed.

Reaction times will be better again :-)

Relax - highest core frequency is 114.75 Core Support.
Everything starting from 140MHz is fine!

Is there good online stores where can buy DE10-nano with Paypal?

This is something I can't confirm - Digikey is accepting PayPal since about May this year .....

Re: I/O Board

I'm using this Screw and this Nut when mounting the Noctua - people order without get this parts as mounting kit (together with the parts for the fan connector).
The Screw Head perfectly fits into the holes and from length point of view it has exactly the right length.

Re: HDMI Gone when IO board plugged in

OK, from the output it's clear that you can't see anything as the Linux System is not booting. The question now is: Why? At the moment it's not clear for me what error on the IO can cause such a behavior ... maybe @Sorgelig can give a hint as this is at the very beginning of the boot process .... I'...

Re: HDMI Gone when IO board plugged in

Ok, have been able to get a better zoom on the pictures with my mobile. The buttons seem to be correct. I‘m a little bit out of ideas- as the leds are working the system seems to have booted. But no USB and so on is against this. Try to connect to the serial output of the Linux Console (the Mini USB...

Re: HDMI Gone when IO board plugged in

I have had some discussions some days ago (2 weeks? can't remember) with the guy from Arcadeforge .... Basically he wanted one of the IOs from me (has been on the reservation list) as his board somehow behaves the same ... His system was not comming up at all ... After I've got some pictures I could...

Re: SDRAM board

The Alliance are quite a little bit 'better' according to noise it seems. All of my Alliance have worked fine with .1u while for the Winbond I really would recomment 1u (I've had some boards where I have to exchange one of the 1u even to 10u to get them at least to 160MHz). Yes the Alliance seems to...

Re: I/O Board

It's save to do so - just use the 2 screw positions on the VGA/HDMI side.
The board is a little bit shorter as you can get them quite cheap in China if you don't exceed 100mmx100mm - therefor Sorgelig has done the layout like this.

Re: Introducing alternative USB HUB Board

I‘m still filling up the github pGe. At the moment I‘m filling my stock of SDRam and RTC and continue soldering the reserved IOs. After that I’ll build up the 2nd board for the USB Hub. PCBs arrived on Monday (after 2.5 weeks in customs). Parts already here, except DB9. The sellers on AliExpress alw...

Re: Local Sellers for MiSTer Expansion Boards

I believe only the SDRAM XS can do 167 MHz but none of the cores use it. The rest of the SDRAM setups can do up to 160 MHz. Not totally right ... I've had also UNI Ram modules that pass 167MHz ON MY BOARD. But this is not generally so - yes the possibility that a XS passes the 167MHz is higher than...

Re: Local Sellers for MiSTer Expansion Boards

Do you have any idea about the effort to put a kit together? For SDRam and RTC it's possible - yes. But for the IO it easily took you half an hour - you have to collect the items and you have to LABEL them - the Rs do have prints, so maybe you can skip this, but the Cs don't have .... I've done this...
