Re: I/O Board

Sorry maybe you have not spoken clear enougth.
I am far away to change the ladder - this is out of my scope.
I just want to inform you that the risistors in the table are mentioned with 500 R instead of the right 510R. The link is ok but the description value is wrong

Re: I/O Board

Dear Sorgelig, I've stumbled about a very small inconsistence in the Part List for the IO Board DIY. R1, R7, R13 Resistor 1% 1/8W 0805 500 YAGEO RC0805FR-07510RL Inside of the list the values for R1,R7and R13 are given with 500 Ohm, but the linked SMD is 510 Ohm. Inside of the schematics its also me...

I've some Memory Boards to give away. 2 x Extra slim v1.1 board 4 x Universal v3.1U vertical board all passing at least 140MHz Price for the XS Boards will be 22€ and for the Universal ones 20€ plus P&P. P&P depends where you live - I'll send via bubble envelope. As I'm living in Germany: G...

Re: u-boot

Yes - you are right - and I've also seen this before. But my intention was an easy to edit file - for gererating u-boot.scr you need mkimage thats included in the UBootInstallTools - and that implies a.f.a.i.k a Linux system. While the txt file can just be edited. As I said: For me it's not a proble...

Re: u-boot

Sorry to correct you - but this solution is general. You've the hid.quirks (or something you need to pass to your environment) in a txt file similar to the MiSTer config file. So if you have a similar problem (just not using a Sparkfun but a Ardino type) you can just exchange the VID/PID in the text...

Dear Sorgelig, as I've mentioned http://www.atari-forum.com/viewtopic.php?f=117&t=32736&start=25#p338121 already, I've build up my own Joystick to USB converter for DB9-Joysticks (something for NES/SNES will follow). Plugging this thing in I was only able to see one js (js0) device. After se...

Sorgelig wrote:Today i've soldered SDRAM XS module with 64MB SDRAM chip AS4C32M16SB-7TCN. And it passes 160MHz! Even on 167MHz it produces only 4 errors in 30 mins. Although it's 7ns chip.

Dear Sorgelig,
can you please release the 160MHz Test also?
Inside of the git there are only tests for 150MHz and 167MHz.

Re: custom USB controller adapters

This is nice - but I think at the moment too much .....
I first need to buy my FPGA Board, solder my SDRam Board and so on - before I can't really test it makes no sense to me!
Nevertheless - THANKS!

Re: custom USB controller adapters

You don't need any other components for you converter. Just wire any retro joystick directly to its GPIO and write the firmware :) nes.png No need to write the firmware, this guy already did it (partially): https://github.com/mcgurk/Arduino-USB-HID-RetroJoystickAdapter I've checked this ... the cod...

Re: I/O Board thread

Vertical SDRAM board is higher than 10mm fan. Probably 20mm fan will be ok. May be couple mm higher than the board. Thanks for the information - and sorry to bother you with all my stupid questions. You are doing a great job! And I'm very thankful for all the work you are doing and all the time you...

Re: I/O Board thread

Right,
but the Power Supply on the IO Board is 5V - therefore I would like to run at 5V (don't like flying leads)

Re: I/O Board thread

Maybe the BlackSilentPro PM-1 (also Noisblocker) is an alternative ..... this starts at 4.5V. Disadvantage: More expensive (12€ insted of 5€ - I don't really care) and 20mm instead of 10mm. Btw. I don't own a Mister at the moment (just assemble my shopping carts) - on the picture it looks like havin...

Re: I/O Board thread

I've ordered Noiseblocker BlackSilent XM2: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/noiseblocker-blacksilent-fan-xm2-fan-40mm-3800rpm-fg-018-nb.html Only 14 db noise and 3800 RPM. Doesn't move as much air as the other one, but I don't think it matters. The chip isn't that hot. Datasheet says that this is a 1...

Re: RTC board

Hi Sorgelig, I'm finding your MiSTer Project very interesting and will try to go for it in the near future. As the Option boards are (more or less) needed I've alreay ordered 10pcs of each board by PCBWay. While they are on shipment I'm trying to already get the needed parts. As the SDRAM Board is c...
