Re: MiST - new joystick/gamepad mapping

It's detected as retrolink NES and X button doesn't register, Y and B are same button. I think the controller shares the same VID PID as retrolink NES, but it's a revised version with more buttons and MiST won't recognize the buttons as separate. Gravis Gamepad pro assigns all buttons except start a...

Re: Genesis / Megadrive core ported to MiST

This core is great. Hadn't tried it since a 2017 version. The new OSD and everything is just way improved. Only minor sound issues in a few games, could be ROM dump related honestly. Will definitely post some youtube videos when I get proper controllers for this. Gotta get back to some Mutant League.

Re: MiST - new joystick/gamepad mapping

Boy I'm Stuck. I have some INNEXT SNES style controllers. I have everything mapped except the X and Y buttons. Y duplicates whatever B is set to or maybe vice versa, and X does nothing. L and R map just fine though. Joystick test OSD says it's a Retrolink NES controller. Any ideas? [mist] led_animat...

Doubtful. VeriSNES was built on the largest Cyclone 4, MiST is a medium/low sized Cyclone 3. Hopefully MiSTer will get an ST core and MIDI bus so it can be a proper successor.

Re: Best MIDI player?

Oh this is awesome. I'll have to just try them all, thanks! Didn't think to even check out sample players. Using it with SC-88, so I will be checking these out with hundreds of files. Atari forum is the best.

Re: Best MIDI player?

Crazy, I can find tons of midi players for the Amiga, but the one that had native midi ports has hardly any playback programs.

Best MIDI player?

I have tons of MIDI creation programs for the ST, but I've been looking for a really good simple MIDI player. Like one that could do playlists and is compatible with type 0 and type 1 MIDI files. I was having issues playing back a lot of MIDI files with what I've found so far. Are there any good rec...

Re: MT-32 core?

Well I got the mt32 service manual rev.3 with block diagrams, the roms with sample data, and a full dump of the IC's. I guess I should take a look at this Altera Quat thing and see what fhat does. Be back in a year.

MT-32 core?

I know MiST is typically used for 8/16 bit computers, but has anyone thought of putting an MT-32 core? It would be perfect with the midi expansion board. Albeit a very expensive version of MT-32, but for the sake of preservation it would be pretty awesome.
