Re: My chiptunes

Rocks! Keep it up! Thx! :) There comes a short track about global warming: https://soundcloud.com/styqn/cqrefreecqreless That Battle of the Bits thing seems interesting, I hadn't heard of it before. I like the tune you made for the Winter Chip XIV. :) Thanks :) Battle of the bits really made my mus...

MonST tutorial?

Hi, I'm trying to find a way to debug my beginner code. If you know a way to debug code assembled with vasm, I'd be very much interested. Same with MonST, I just don't get it. I can open it from Devpac but the assembly in the window doesn't look like my code and when I press CTRL-Z (or CTRL-S) I get...

Difference between .TOS and .PRG?

Hi,

I guess it's kind of a stupid question but my searches didn't yield any useful result. I'm actually trying to understand why some code will compile successfully with Devpac and not with vasm :scratches head: and I was wondering if the executable type could have something to do with it...

Re: Do I need to learn assembly to make a music disk?

In case you want someone to bounce off questions to or need help; feel free to contact me. I briefly considered helping you with the musicdisk by making it, but I thought I wouldnt have the time to do so; but I'd love to help when I can. Cool, I'll post my questions either here or in a new topic, h...

Re: Do I need to learn assembly to make a music disk?

You could have a look at: https://github.com/ggnkua/Atari_ST_Sources There's a ton of assembly code in there for various menus/demos/music routines. There's probably something in there that might help. You would have to download the whole giithub archive (~500MB) and then extract the files and sear...

Re: My chiptunes

Overall nicely done. The only criticism I have is that the lead is too loud and there isn't enough dynamics on it, it's mostly full loudness and no pauses between notes. Dynamics makes a lot of difference because a pause and differences in volume make make melodies more interesting. In electronic m...

Re: Devpac from hard drive

Tried to install devpac 3.1 (found here : http://dhs.nu/files.php?t=single&ID=5) but it keeps asking for disk A. Any idea ? I had the same problem, you need to check the "Environment" options: Steem__125.png Then change the paths to where your files are. Looks like this on my system: ...

Devpac from hard drive

Hi, I tried to run Perihelion's code for loading Degas pictures but I can't do it from the HD, Devpac looks for the file on A:. How do I set it up to look for the file on C:? I tried adding C: in the bottom two lines in the environment window (don't know what they're for), but it didn't change anyth...
