Re: Minimig (Amiga) core discussion

Hi there,

I have a whole stack of .HDF files for my Amiga,

Just something for the wishlist, directory navigable .HDF just like what already exists for .ADF files would be really cool and handy.
( at the moment .HDF is only accessible in root ).

Cheers

Re: If you want to donate to MiSTer project.

I've sent a donation as well, I've found the whole project a great way to get motivated enough to learn electronics and fpga programming.
Thankyou and please keep up the excellent work!

Re: C64 Core

Why don't use secondary SD card as SD2IEC? Of course you will need to emulate SD2IEC as well. C64 is relatively small core and there is enough FPGA space for SD2IEC. Although i don't know what is the advantage of SD2IEC over 1541 emulation. Yes I had thought of that, but it was something that was f...

Re: C64 Core

Happy New Year, So I've been playing with the C64 a little trying to learn how to program a little and I set myself a little project to attach my uIEC SD card drive to the 64 core. It works pretty well, but I can't work out how to get the internal 1541 and the external IEC to work at the same time, ...

Re: C64 Cartridge support

Oh, it seems some C64 games also support a "second joystick button", but the C64 core AFAIK only supports one joystick button. The game in question for me right now, is the Bear Essentials, where second button brings up the map. Interesting I don't ever remember the C64 itself every havin...

Re: C64 Cartridge support

Hi Sorgelig, I'd like to submit to you an update to "rom_c64_chargen.vhd" to fix the character rom corruption issue on the dead test cart for the C64 core. The original code only had half of the character rom (2K) and assumes the that the inverse character set is a 1 to 1 match and uses a ...

Re: C64 Cartridge support

Lee did post his source up and it is current all the way up to the disk change sense. https://github.com/Braincell1973 If you look at the Mister c64 core that Sorgelig created, it already incorporates Lee's updates to the CIA with the TOD clock fixes. cia6526.vhd Import braincell1973 changes. Re: Core porting questions

Awesome worked a treat! Now I can't generate the rbf file. I noticed that no rbf file is generated after compilation completes I've tried to use File ==> Convert Programming File to convert the file c64_time_limited.sof. I can't seem to add the .sof file to the tool. I can select it but it won't add...

Hi this is more of a core compilation question. I've downloaded Quartus Prime Lite 17.0 ( update 2 ) and am attempting to compile the C64 core. But it's getting an error like there is maybe a file missing. Warning (125092): Tcl Script File sys/vip/synthesis/vip.qip not found Info (125063): set_globa...

Re: C64 core problems.....

As posted on the mist / mister Facebook group. Hi, so this is a total once off . . . I've merged the save/write code (darfpga) from the MiSTer C64 core (sorgelig) back into the latest MIST core (Braincell1973) . . . HOWEVER be warned I have no idea about the code I've just merged it, so use it on a ...

Re: Add-on soldering talk and experience share

Yep that's fine I just got a bit confused as the board has markings that look like they are for polarity? and the wiki had tantalum written on it for a little bit, I see it's been updated. I'll see how they go and change them to ceramic if things break.

Re: Add-on soldering talk and experience share

Not sure if this should go here, I've successfully soldered my memory board using these tantalum capacitors from element14 (au): 1135082 TAJR104K020RNJ TAJR104K020RNJ CAPACITOR, 0.1uF 20V R CASE With a vertical position on the universal board the 140 test runs flawlessly, above that it gets unstable.

Re: Buy / Sell MiSTer Expansion Boards

I've bought a large number of the universal memory boards. As I'm in Australia and the cost to post to and from here Overseas is prohibitively expensive, if there is anyone in Australia that would like a bare Memory PCB ( and only the PCB sorry ) let me know and I'll snail mail it to you at cost.
