Re: ext3 or ext4 support in FreeMiNT?

Wasn't sure what the purpose of FAT32 was, you still have to have FreeMiNT loaded for that, right? TOS itself can't access it?

Re: ext3 or ext4 support in FreeMiNT?

Ah yes, I do understand this. But it's not just the journaling I'd like, but some of the other nice features (not to mention speed) of the newer versions of ext. Though I'm not sure how much more hardware (memory/cpu) overhead they'd have. I guess using these filesystems wouldn't really matter if we...

Re: ext3 or ext4 support in FreeMiNT?

I'll agree with that. Which is why I would love it if we were able to get journaling support in the kernel driver. I do need to get the percentage of completion for e2fsck working again so I know when it's locked up or not. I'm checked the script that kicks off the e2fsck check and -C is still in th...

ext3 or ext4 support in FreeMiNT?

I've been looking around the forums for an answer to this, but couldn't find much more than an updated e2fsprogs that supports ext4, but it also mentioned that the FreeMiNT kernel doesn't support anything above ext2. I've ran into (too many times now) a nice lockup, in which case the ext2 file syste...

Re: LNX Partition Problem

I found with Easymint 1.90 on my falcon that it required an FPU to run the mkfs program. Granted you're trying to install it on your TT030, which I believe all came with one, correct? (I stole mine out of my TT030 temporarily to get EasyMiNT installed.)

Re: NetUSBee set up with EasyMint 1.90.

Yay for terrible luck. So I have three cables going from my other room into my bedroom (where I was testing the Falcon/NetUSBee) and apparently I hadn't used the one in a very long time. I set up Sting with a static IP and it ping'd one successful packet and then just choked! Had absolutely horrible...

Re: NetUSBee set up with EasyMint 1.90.

Thanks Mug UK. Not sure why it showed nothing after I hit submit. @frank.lukas Did you have to do anything special with it? When I installed EasyMint, it asked what driver did I want to use for MiCO (at least I think that's what it was for) as I didn't have the correct one on the system, I think I c...

NetUSBee set up with EasyMint 1.90.

After installing EasyMint 1.90, I received my NetUSBee from Lotharek and tried to set it up. Unfortunately the ENEC3.XIF driver locks up the Falcon as it's booting. I've taken a screenshot, I've tried also to use the ne2kenec.xif from http://assemsoft.atari.org/ne2k/index.html but it just told me th...

Re: Math Co-Processors MC68882 questions.

I did discover it was indeed the FPU that was missing (stole the one out of my TT030), I have 5 40mhz on the way so I'll have some spares if someone wants 'em, since I only have three systems that need them.

Re: CT60e is coming :)

A joke ? 1 or 2 week are enough ! I assembled my CT60 proto in 2004 with 1 day ! It took me about an hour to replace a reset switch on my TT030, making a whole board in a day is definitely beyond my skills! Good point though, I was all excited to see a recent project to make some of these, since I'...

Math Co-Processors MC68882 questions.

In getting back into the Atari scene after being out for way too long, I've been going through my systems and attempting to get them up and running (1040STf, MegaSTe, TT030, Falcon030 (newly acquired)). Now the TT030 definitely already has a Math Co-Processor in it (it has a MC68882FN33A), the MegaS...

Re: Wanted: ATARI TT030 keyboard

It's in pretty immaculate condition. I notice a small dent along the plastic on the left hand side, but it's on the bottom of the keyboard, barely noticeable. Almost looks like they pulled the keys from a few keyboards or they 'yellowed' a bit inconsistently, but the yellowing isn't terrible (like m...

Re: Atari 1040STF motherboard revision C070523-001 REV. D repair help needed

Hello, I have a similar problem. Haven't booted this beast up in a long time, though if I recall correctly, the video was having an odd flickering issue before, and I remember finding a capacitor that had somehow broken free, now I can't seem to find the capacitor inside it anymore, and I can't seem...

Re: When did you have your first 16bit Atari?

Apparently it's too early in the morning for me to read... My first Atari was my 800XL (which I very recently figured out how to fix the black and white only issue!), well I guess that's not true, my first Atari was the 2600, but really the question was "When did I get my first 16bit Atari?&quo...
