Re: PLEASE POST A CLEAN <=300K PIC IN JPG THE INSIDE OF YOUR

Glad I just stumbled upon this thread, was about to take my own pix of the board for reference

Here's my NTSC 520STfm Rev. D, C070523-001. It's been upgraded to 1MB RAM by the previous owner but that's all I'm aware of.

Re: Minix: 8088 vs. 68000 implementations

Keep in mind that Minix was developed for IBM & IBM compatibles and wasn't ported to other architectures until version 1.5. Even then, demand for 68000 Minix was so low that they dropped it for 2.0! So, your only options are really the hacks they made to get it working for version 1.5... I'm sur...

Re: NEW IDE Controller & TOS 2.06 board (with extras)

Could this actually get IDE and TOS above 1.04 in a STfm? I'd be really interested, ST's are so hard to come by in my area it was near impossible just to track down a STfm... :coffe:

Re: The LaST Upgrade - Part 6 - PSU

Video output also flickers (aparently) when the Floppy servo draws current... "power without the price" does have its disadvantages - literally in respect to the PSU o_0; Yup - I'm experiencing this right now with my 520STfm. Any recommendations for a simple test fixture? I want to see ho...

Re: New UltraSatan supplier

It looks like the only option for a 520STfm is external, then, huh? :? Maybe I'll be forced to upgrade to an STe really soon, was hoping for that internal drive...

Re: DIY: Retro fitting a PicoPSU into a STf/fm/e machine

Have the PicoPSU been pretty stable for you since you switched it out, especially while using external devices like a floppy and/or hard drive? The PSU in my 520STfm isn't looking so great. It makes the picture on the monitor jitter when I load a floppy from the internal drive (also electrocuted me ...

Re: NEW IDE Controller & TOS 2.06 board (with extras)

I would also help in any way I could to get this working on a STFM - I have a 540STfm and really would love to get an IDE->CF in there, i'm so sick of floppy drives!

Atari 520STfm Floppy+Monitor Woes (maybe more woes)

I got an Atari 520STfm, SM124 and big box of software on craigslist for $100. I took it home and tried it out to find a few issues: 1) The floppy drive didn't work. It would make a few noises during bootup but wouldn't respond at all while the computer was on, so I figured the drive was the issue. G...
