Re: Cubase Audio Falcon - Sync ADAT XT

Nice Philippe! Everything is working now, with one exception. I can't get my new Roland JV-1080 to respond to bank changes. My Alesis S4 Synth responds just fine. I think I have everything set up correctly (Bank Change ON in the JV setup). It responds to program changes fine, but nothing on bank cha...

Re: Cubase Audio Falcon - Sync ADAT XT

Okay, using the ACI driver rather than MTC or MMC, you can do all of the operations from the Cubase transports! It even enables record on the ADAT XT. I haven't made an actual recording yet, but I can now move to any point in the sequence and once play or record is pressed in Cubase, the tape goes t...

Re: Cubase Audio Falcon - Sync ADAT XT

Thanks for the replies! The MMC driver allows me to to start and stop the tape from CAF, but I cannot "rewind" or "fast forward." It was probably designed this way to keep things in sync with the tape. I also tried one of the Fostex drivers, but there is no response with that dri...

Cubase Audio Falcon - Sync ADAT XT

I'm wondering if Cubase Audio Falcon produces MMC to control the transports on an ADAT recorder? I am converting the ADAT sync to MTC using a JLCooper DataSync2. The ADAT is controlling the Cubase sequencer, but nothing happens when trying to control the ADAT with the Cubase transports. I've tried t...

STBook help contacting Simbo

If any users on this forum have (or had) an STBook or other computer being repaired by Simbo (Simbo2) (Simeon Webber) who was previously a user of Atari-Forum, can you please contact me in private? I have been trying to reach him with no success. Last contact was February of 2016.

Thanks,
Joe

Re: SCSI2SD and Cubase Audio Falcon

Thanks for the replies! I'm experimenting with recording to RAM, and that fixes the problem (records to RAM and then writes the file to the SCSI2SD), but I don't think that CAF uses the SDRAM on my CT60 when recording to RAM, as I am running out of RAM quickly. I have 256 MB of SDRAM and 14 MB of ST...

SCSI2SD and Cubase Audio Falcon

Has anyone been able to record stereo tracks to the SCSI2SD? This works fine with my standard SCSI hard drive, but it seems as if the sample rate is not right with the SCSI2SD. The pitch is wrong and it sounds like it is recorded in a can. Mono tracks work just fine. I am using HDDriver 7.93 for CAF...

STBook ROMDISK

It seems to me that the STBook TOS writes the contents of the ROMDISK to RAM. Of the 1024K (no accessories, etc. loaded), I can only make available about 720K (HD Driver with the cache and folders reduced from defaults). Does anyone have a utility that can free the RAM, or is a change in firmware th...

Re: ST-BOOK ROM dump?

Did anyone ever find a way to disable ROMDISK P: ? There is a RAMNNNNX.TTP utility on that disk, but I have found no info about that anywhere. I was wondering if it frees RAM by sizing the disk somehow? It looks like something that you may rename to set a value? Since it is a TTP, you can also pass ...

I am in need of the Codekeys manual. I can't get to the listed ftp site. I think it is down. Can anyone point me to this manual?

Thanks!

Re: CT60e is coming :)

Why not integrate the SuperVidel and EtherNat function into the new board? The less header objects we need to plug in, the less problems there will be. Perhaps that is impossible, but it would sure be nice. :D

Falcon blank white screen

Yes, I tried different capacitors and such, but could never resolve it. It is no big deal. I'm just glad everything else is working great!

Falcon blank white screen

My white screen issue was a bad flashing of the CT60. Once I re-flashed with a Xilinx it was fine. I removed my old clock patch as recommended when I originally installed the CT60. The Nature guys repaired the damage I did to my SuperVidel, and everything is working great now, but I do still have to...

Great to see the progress! So many times my Falcon has been "broken" and I thought it was finally "the end." It was such a great feeling to get it going again. It is so cool to give these rare computers more life. Thanks so much for working on this and sharing the progress!

You can remove the plastic on mine and do all the work as you see best. I'm not concerned about keeping mine in original condition. I intend to use it (hopefully a lot). Thanks so much. Re: Atari ST Book power adaptor help

Okay, I spent the big bucks and bought this STbook. The power light glows green with 12 Volts DC connected. After having the power applied for awhile, and hitting the reset button several times the hard drive spun up and I got HDD activity (light flickering and the obvious sound of the hard drive). ...
