Re: HxC FE and TOS 2.06 - info request

since they said it doesn't work in HiRez I never tried it. I will try to run up my color equiptment to see if it works with 2.06 but iit may be a few days before I can get back to you on that. Yeah reading through the source it looks pretty hardcoded for medium resolution. If you find the time addi...

Re: .sndh playback on Android devices?

I was unable to get it to recognize unpacked sndh files - it scanned all the directories but listed none. However, as soon as I compressed some and moved over the .zip it worked just fine.

Running the latest beta on ICS now, will test it out more tomorrow.

Re: Download Adress for Demos?

Troad: Pretty strange... you are the first one who report problems with the .ISO-file... do have have access to a windows machine? I know it shouldn't make a difference but who knows... Yeah I don't know. Tried with Daemon in a virtualized Windows yesterday but it couldn't open it either. Re-downlo...

Re: Download Adress for Demos?

Well, you need to look for the "No Fragments" CDs. Volume 1 contains ST Demos, Volume 2 various Compilation disks, Volume 4 is Falcon Stuff, etc. http://no-fragments.atari.org/ Strange. I'm unable to open that .iso [edit: only tried Volume 1] with my Mac. "not recognized".

Re: Script to convert ATARI ST Pirate Gold to ST/MSA/HFE etc

Hatari brings a utility called zip2st.sh which works under Linux. It probably will work with Mac OSX aswell, I think it only uses mtools and dd and stuffs like this. Thanks! As you said it does require users to install mtools, but it would make it easier to generalize this script even further if ne...

Re: External Disk Drive As Main Drive?

would my idea work if the Card Reader is set to 'B' drive and the floppy remians the 'A' drive? what are the chances of reversing this? I'm still waiting on some final bits of kit to arrive to put my idea to the test. Did you get any further on this? I'm contemplating various ways of connecting my ...

Re: Script to convert ATARI ST Pirate Gold to ST/MSA/HFE etc

This is a Mac-only tool, for real. Repurposing it for other OS' should be simple. So, if there's interest in adaptation, the reason this version is Mac only is because it uses the OSX tool "hdiutil" to mount copies of the included empty disk image (empty.st) to inject files from the non-i...

Script to convert game & demo collections to HxC SD images

(Re-posted here since it was really meant for the HxC Floppy Emu to begin with) For your enjoyment, the fruits of a few nights' labour. The Mac-only bash script: "ziptohfe". Converts the contents of the CD release "ATARI ST Pirate Gold" by Skinhead/ICS into something I wanted - i...

Script to convert game & demo collections to ST/MSA/HFE

-- v1.32 -- Bugfix update. While adding support for Fujiology the script lost the ability to use long filenames from Atari ST Pirate Gold FILES.BBS files (for pre-existing images). Also made some changes to path handling, and removed support by default for 1.44 and 2.88MB images. See outcommented co...

HxC FE and TOS 2.06 - info request

Hi, First of all: I've been an HxC SD Floppy Emu user for a full weekend now and I'm extremely happy. I bought it for one specific purpose, to be able to know that if my Megafile 30 did manage to boot after eleven years of moving around between basements I would also be able to copy data off it and ...

Re: Atari ST Beginner Advice

Congratz! :) A 1040 STFM would indeed be a good choice. Do note the 'M' - that means it includes an RF modulator and you can connect it to any old TV set you have laying around. There are some newer games, but not many, that would require the updated STE model but at the same time you risk incompati...

Anybody interested? I know you'd rather hear from those that are, but, many thanks for this post! I was initially looking to buy an ultrasatan but the comments I saw on your delivery times made me go for a floppy emu instead (for me it will fulfill the same purpose). If I had known you were about t...

Re: HxCMount: SD HxC Floppy Emulator as Hard Disk drive emul

Yeah, I dream of using a "big" floppy to transfer between Atari & PC is dashed. I was hoping to be able to access both my real hard disk and the emulated hard disk; copy stuff between them. Any news on this? I'm just about to order an HxC for the specific purpose of getting lots of da...

There was some really good Atari BBS in those days.. just a few I remember just now. ???? -> Troed TROED's BBS was called SARCASTIC EXISTENCE (ICS and Sync HQ) Hi guys ;) I'm curious. :) Did you use a cart to crack stuff? An Action replay? The ST guys didn't have access to anything like that. There...

Re: Lookin for Proper PWC Demo (STAR Demo)

I belive this demo has gone vanished, but I try here incase. Many thanks for that Marcer! I managed to both identify the music problem (corrupt file) and fix it (I had the original file used creating the demo laying around) ;) As far as I can see, this MSA patched from yours is now 100% working. ht...
