My STE's on it's way out and my Mega is too precious to knock around (especially after receiving it cracked in the post). I've bought 2 amiga...

maxynmiser is by far the most advanced ym tracker out there.

Musicmon 2.5e is not as powerful but sintantly gratifying and you'll be rocking tunes out in no time using this program

TRUE!! Amazing series that explores every dark path that the human psyche can lead us into... unfortunately 4 great seasons ruined by the lamest finale I can imagine (in my opinion). It's funny how everyone goes on about The Wire and then look at you strangely when you tell them to watch this.....un...

Thanks for your thoughts: RG ..can't see the pic! ppera...I do see what you are saying, I was thinking of hidden messages, copy protections and things like that. Help me out with my dissertation topic!!

I was thinking for my library studies disseration to look at preservation of legacy digital cultrural products. For example demos, games, diks zines etc. One of the topics I will be looking at is the question of authenticity/media vs emulation. I undertsand a lot of work has gone into Pastii etc to ...

Re: New here: Atari ST for music making

Hi, It really depends on what you want out of it. The people who use the ST for MIDI in no way use it for 'retro' audio. They use midi software which is on a par with those available on mac and pc. These programs usually benefit (sometimes require) from 4mb and a monochrome monitor. Very few of thes...

low res programs on Falcon with VGA

Hi all,

I was wondering, with a vga monitor attached to a Falcon, can it run ST progs designed for low res...like trackers and paint programs like degas?

I tried octalyser and it had weird border flicker problems but is this just octalyser or do programs have to be programmed to run under VGA?

foobar is your best bet... it is a barebones player that is very light on resources. However it is expandable via plugins and scripts. so simple foobar looks like this: http://www.fooblog2000.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/02/foobar2000v09.png but through customization yo ucan make it look like this: h...
