Re: USB for Atari

heres some links to what I mentioned above. http://www.usbtypewriter.com/ http://www.pjrc.com/teensy/ Is USB really needed for the ST ? I suppose I was thinking if this was implemented, people might be able to connect usb floppies, usb cdroms, usb network adapters etc. etc. Would drivers be needed o...

USB for Atari

Found an interesting article on makezine.com about converting an old style typewriter into a USB keyboard, which then led me to a microcontroller board called 'Teensy USB' Could this be an easy way to add memory stick capability to an Atari ? Its all open source, so maybe all we need is someone to c...

Sundog dilemma

What do I do ?????
I've just bagged an eBay bargain, Sundog, boxed, unused and still in its plastic wrapper.
Do I keep it as it is and put it on the shelf as a thing of beauty (and financial investment!) or do I open it up and play it and to hell with the consequences ?????

Re: CastCE ST Emulator for PDA's

Hi there Just bought an HP iPaq HX4700 and am playing with CastCE. It looks great, but I am having problems getting the controls to work. The ST keyboard appears on the screen Ok, but I can't see the virtual joystick anywhere. Has anyone else used CastCE ? I've loaded up Rick Dangerous and it looks ...

Re: PC in an ST !

That sounds just the job.
The next thing is, can someone build me one, as I don't have the necessary skills needed.
I'll obviously pay, or if its Ok swap for some Atari kit or software, I've got loads. ST's, monitors, etc.
Cheers

PC in an ST !

I've got a spare ST case and a mad idea ! It involves an Epia 800 mini ITX mobo, psu and 4gb CF card running Puppy linux that would fit nicely into an ST. I'd love to keep the original ST keyboard, which obviously won't work with a PC. But .... , can it be modded somehow (Techie Alison ?). Something...

Re: Hard disk patched games in December - PP

Hi Ppera Just trying Another World on my Falcon. Works great, even with powerup turned on, really smooth and fast. Just a couple of things, its the French version, which is no problem, just thought you may want to note that on your website and also is there anyway you can fix the sound, I could real...

testing floppies

Hi there I've decided to sell off some of my ST stuff and am starting with the hundreds of floppies I have. There's bound to be a few faulty, so I thought I would test them. To start with I thought I'd try each one in my 1040STfm, which works Ok, and is fun discovering all those old games and such. ...

Fixed thanks. I tried key combinations and found control, alt, right shift, undo booted to a low res screen where I could get at the floppy and run bootconf. Falcon fitting a new battery

I've just given my Falcon its christmas present, a new nvram battery ! It was easier than I expected, I just cut the top off the chip with a craft knife, dug out the soft plastic exposing the old battery which I then removed and wired in a new one. One small problem. The Atari boot logo was bigger t...

C5 user manual

I'm going to try and scan in this manual, so just checking no one has already done it ? Its 300+ pages, ring bound and is difficult to scan. I'm scanning at 200DPI and have put up a few pages here http://www.mevagissey.net/lattice to get some feedback. The pages look a bit rough and ready, but unles...
