Re: PAK 3 with Graphics

i suspect that you'll need some different drivers... the options in nvdi for use with 3rd party video cards are normally used with the ET4000 VME cards on the MSTE and TT

can you get the test pattern/output in the VMG-4000 application?

Re: Atari Coldfire Project – Computer Naming

Um how about something in the style of the original ST like 'Coldfire ST', 'ST Coldfire' or STc or even something slightly cheesey like STX.. looks like the coldfire is 32bit so maybe 'ColdFire TT' (yea well maybe i'm biased to TT  ) or maybe 'ColdFire STTF' to indicate ST, TT & falcon co...

Re: Portfolio help

Hi. I got broken Atari portfolio from a friend. When batteries are inserted all I can see is a black screen (all pixels) but I can hear clicking sound when keys are pressed. Any suggestions how to fix this or maybe there`s no hope? first suspect would be the mylar ribbon cable between the screen an...

yes, any aftermarket video card will be fine on old or new vga monitors.

it's only because the built-in tt-high uses a now defunct system called ECL

Re: My TT finally arrived...

Out of interest, anybody know why the 030 is on a daughterboard? As when I pulled it and plugged in another 030 it ran just fine atari's cockup basically. TT was originally 16mhz, but late in the dev process they decided to make it 32, so they used the daughterboard to run the cpu at 32 leaving the...

Re: My TT finally arrived...

ahh, they do hardware for AD conversion too, 24bit remote aquisition modules that connect via fiber optic cable to an interface

probably means that the board is more ornamental than functional

Re: My TT finally arrived...

looks great there erkster, certainly an early example with the 32mhz daughterboard, my other older TT is the next revision up from that where it still had tons of shielding and a PGA cpu but without the daughterboard. I'd suggest as you've found no other extras in there other than the VME card it wi...

Re: How to connect Atari TT to a modern Monitor ?

update: got my tt to switch into tt-high by grounding pin 9, but i'm blind without a real ecl monitor to test but i can see much higher h & v sync output frequencies from the tt with my oscilloscope. Though i couldn't find any ecl signal, i'd expected the pixel data to show up on pin 4 or 15... ...

Free: Atari Portfolio (spares/repair)

i have a non-working portfolio here that i'll give free to anyone in the uk who's willing to pay postage (£5)

it's about average condition, the fault is the ribbon cable from the main board to the screen has broken. It's something i'd always intended to fix but never got around to it.
