What it is, is currently empty promise with fifty changes in direction and no clear information, an unfathomably bizarre business model, and fifty different colored case renders.

So true.

Re: MiST - FPGA ST

Does anybody know what FPGA hardware they're using in this?

http://www.retrovgs.com

It's an FPGA-based console in cases made from the old Atari Jaguar moulds, with modern output (HDMI) and what looks to be decent controller. BUT (for me) it runs games from cartridges.

Re: MiST - FPGA ST

Is it feasible (assuming that accuracy of the 68K core is improved at some point) that an add-on board could be made to support plugging in of the actual Cubase dongle? I'd like to replace the ancient, temperamental hardware setup of a musician with something much quieter, more reliable and with inc...

Anybody?

Any hints as to how I might find it more easily?

Are there any searchable Atari ST PD software databases?

Help finding: speed reading program

Way back when I used to buy ST magazines every month I used an .prg that allowed you to load in a text file and then it would present it a word at a time to allow you to read it faster. Exactly like this: http://i.imgur.com/xiSS8E7.gif cf. http://www.spritzinc.com Any ideas what the ST prg was? It w...

New Prefab Sprout album - created using an Atari ST

So, there is a new Prefab Sprout album, "Crimson/Red" out in October 7th. The first new material for 12 years. http://www.prefabsproutalbum.com Paddy McAloon, who is effectively the one man behind Prefab Sprout these days, has used an ST, plus a bunch of extra hardware, since the 80s to ma...

Any idea what this hardware mod is?

I bought a 520ST FM a while back and have only just got around to taking a look at what a mod switch on the back of it is for. Activating the switch means the ST gets stuck at white screen during boot, not going to TOS or anything. It's wired up to some IO pins on the Yamaha YM 2149 sound chip, and ...

Re: Hatari build for Wii!

I tried the original build, and it worked fine. Not sure what the last version I tried was.

It had the "usual" CaSTaway bugs like not being able to run Sensible Soccer, but played some games well.
