Re: Updating Atari STE to more than 1MB of RAM

think again

there are ways to fix the problem in software, but they're unreliable. 1mb SIMMs cost next to nothing, so there's no reason not to go for the full 4mb.

Re: Updating Atari STE to more than 1MB of RAM

The possible configurations are: 512 KB = 2 x 256KB SIMMs 1024KB = 2 x 512KB SIMMs or 4 x 256KB SIMMs 1536KB = 2 x 512KB + 2 x 256KB SIMMs 2048KB = 4 x 512KB or 2 x 1024KB SIMMs 2560KB = 2 x 1024KB + 2 x 256KB SIMMs 3072KB = 2 x 1024KB + 2 x 512KB SIMMs 4096KB = 4 x 1024KB nonsense, mixing SIMM typ...

Re: The best MOD engine for ST?

Anywayz, it's a great thing that ST can force AY to play 4 channels on its 3chnls. what is "4 channels" supposed to mean anyway? one could claim the ST can do quite a few more than 4 channels, but no matter how many channels are software-mixed, the final output is mono, so practically it'...
