Re: Old ST scene letters scans

Jeebus, I wrote some waffle back in the day :)

Although if I'd known that, almost 30 years later, the letters would reappear, I'd still probably waffle on and on and on :)

Happy memories though from the days when The Source was going under.

Re: Easy way to detect Atari ST system.

Try the ST Synclock demosystem v1.0 by DHS on https://dhs.nu/files.php?t=democreation ? ST Synclock demosystem v1.0 by Evil / DHS Assembler demo system for Atari ST/STe (and Falcon for some limited parts) which makes it pretty easy to code a multi-part demo with fullscreens, plasmas, syncscrollers a...

Re: Tetra Quest Original releases

You mean these ones from a decade ago? :) Warriors.zip Wow. Thanks a lot! Unfortunately it has exactly the same behavior as Kodak80's dump, and as a matter of fact they seem to be identical. Do you happen to know if his disk is the one you had? That is, aren't both the same copy by any chance? Othe...

When I had this game (as part of the Warriors compilation) it would never make a workind PaSTi image and now I know why :) You also had that rare version ! 8O 8O I understand you don't have that disk anymore, do you? Do you happen to still have the non working Pasti image? That would be awesome. Yo...

A "rise from your grave" post as this hack has been improved (once again) by CB and it's now released as Atari Legend's 12th Advent gift :)

Re: What kind of format should we upload on Atari Legend?

I know this is an old post, and I hate to resurrect it, but I'm a little confused. I stumbled onto the atarilegend site by accident and, while it seems to have lots of information, I don't see any downloads anywhere. However, this thread seems to imply people are sending them images, which would se...

Well, it *is* Retrogamer magazine. They haven't had many decent writers who actually know about the 16-bit Ataris for many years.

From the video here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CXtHb0L09Hg - is it the very first screen that you're on about? If so then it's the Mad Max tune using one of his older drivers.

RIP Ben Daglish - Chip & Real Life Musician Extraordinaire!

Spotted this on an FB post earlier on this evening. "Dearest friends, For those of you who don't already know I'm deeply sorry to pass on the news that Ben died very suddenly on Monday morning. We know that it will come as a shock to many of you as it has to us. We are all at home feeling loved...

According to this post (viewtopic.php?t=770), you need to acquire the version that's found on SuperGau #301.

I haven't got my disks to hand, but I found this version by Ppera.

Re: [REQ] Napoleonics

Napoleonics was a compilation of the 3 Peter Turcan games : Austerlitz, Borodino and Waterloo. I'm sure all of those were available individually on menus. Ah, then if that's the case, I'm confusing it with the part-computer, part-board game that was based around the Napoleonic war that I have got.....

Re: [REQ] Napoleonics

Not found it since 2014, so it's either been lost or it's still in some boxes that haven't been unpacked in the last 4 years. That's the downside of having eaves under the roof, they're very good at storing stuff that you want to keep, but also don't want to find :)

Try the Naughty Unpacker as (from memory) that can handle PFX Packer. Or New Depack.

Nice one :)

I also like the other code in the repo and the "load and depack" routine sounds useful.

From the few that I did back in the day, I would: Use MONST to work out where in the code the offset was and/or work off a dead listing created using EasyRider. Get the offsets to where the bytes needed to be altered. Using a standard front-end bit of code (nicked from the original EXECHEAD.S from P...

It's for use on Windows and I can use the Java applet in the same way as I do my Kyroflux app. Nice and simple.

Linux is still something I need to learn, especially for the new job. Managed to happily avoid it until now :)

Re: retro-io Floppy Extractor Online

Had a quick play with this yesterday on both ST & C64 disk images. How easy would it be to make it a stand-alone util (I assume using Java) so it would run locally?
