Re: sddisk image release with all compacts disks and demos?

As far as I'm aware, there is Ppera's SD card image, but you have to buy that from his website - or it comes as part of his HD driver suite. I can't remember the exact details of how it was released . I think it can either pre-made for a certain size of SD card. Once written it appeared with multipl...

Re: SNDH Files (Grazey Zak Hacks) include in GFA?

LP has just announced (via the GFA BASIC page on FB) that he's added a new SNDH play command to his souped up version of GFA BASIC. Which also has an Ice Depacker option built-in command too.

Well it was written over 25 years ago :)

(There are better executable-only unpackers, such as Naughty Depacker).

I'm sure both Marcer and Climatics will host the files as a permanent backup too. Can't have this kind of stuff disappearing.

Re: Help (walkthrough) needed for "Black Dawn" text-adventure

OK, understood that STAC hides the text at the game file level. It sounds like LongLifeA1200 was able to read information from the game (Black Dawn) once it was RAM-resident by using the Steem debugger, or maybe I understood that wrongly. No doubt he will enlighten us when he next appears. That's w...

Re: Help (walkthrough) needed for "Black Dawn" text-adventure

There are de-GAC tools out there for the adventures created in the 8-bit version, but nothing exists for STAC (at present). Sounds like a nice project for when you're not in the pub :) It's in my "To Do (at some point).txt" file on my laptop :) Initial thoughts are to compare memory dump ...

Re: Help (walkthrough) needed for "Black Dawn" text-adventure

STAC adventures that work with the launcher program for distribution are encrypted. You'll get nothing useful when looking through the .LNK file. If you have the .ADV file, then that's the development version of the STAC adventure. I only know of Shymer that came with STAC that has both flavours of ...

No box though or manual, not that you'd need it for Plutos (or the other games)

IMHO the amount of posts I've made over the years, I've rarely needed to go back and edit the original. I'd rather post an additional chunk of text highlighting the error and then moving on. I don't see a problem with this change. Those that are interested in my waffle get an update and know to go t...

This was a recent change so as to keep the history of the forum and its threads. It saves people re-editing an older thread and then anyone who's quoted it from looking like they were quoting a completely different post (as one example).

Re: Jaguar + CD value?

Depends on which country you're based as I can only guesstimate for the UK. (based on a recent retro gaming event where a seller had just the CD unit - unboxed - for £350!) Jaguar boxed ~£120 Jaguar CD boxed - £200+ Controllers (all of them) plus the Team Tap - £100+ The games vary from cheap to sil...

Mug UK: I tried this too but how to get all the subdirs? I just added each sub-directory to the queue and then re-created the folders afterwards when I moved the files to their new destination. Short of using Klaz's version to complete the game, if the game is broken, it's broken. Something to mention in your walkthrough perhaps? I went to look for Klaz's site but it's now appearing as Forbidden: 403 error. I will look on my offline collection of Klaz's fixes and upload it later on this ev...

After not being able to find my original .ZIP from donkey's years ago, I posted in the Atari ST Demoscene group on FB and the original creator posted his copy (cheers!)

Below is the LLS cartridge image (in STEEM format) with a short text file by myself some 17 years ago!
