Re: Amikit style blob/OS for Atari?

Anyway something that you can use to find and install software with just a few clicks. I have done quite a lot of work on something like this, and abandoned it. Even something as "simple" as you describe gets tricky when you start to run into special cases. Doable for sure, but the amount...

Re: Dead F030 count

A couple of years ago. Repairability is unknown. The ct63 works though. Ajax chip exploded. So you been without a Falcon for a few years? The Ajax chip can be easily changed out, i am wondering why would connecting your ct63 wrong attack your Ajax chip?, i would asume it would hit the power rail. S...

Re: Amikit style blob/OS for Atari?

I'd prefer a repository. Something like synaptic where you can find various software to install. It shouldn't be too hard too implement. I mentioned in another thread the possibility of a Debian/MiNT distro, which I think would be fantastic! I wasn't thinking something so extreme. I guess something...

Re: WIFI for all ataris over serial!

Atariosimus, I managed to get 38400 and connect at both 57600 and 115200 on modem 2. Unfortunately the last two speeds are not stable and the system keeps losing connection. Still I had success. On an unrelated note, I am really not sure what I had done wrong with my experiments because I had the sa...

Re: My fried falcon

@mpattonm, thank you, I might take you up on your offer. I am borrowing a falcon diagnostic cart from a friend to see if I can assess the damage. Then it's just a matter to see if it's economical to fix it. @mikro, yeah I know. Still it was nice seeing something on the screen. I still hope for a fal...

My fried falcon

Hello, well, as you may have read I foolishly fried my falcon by plugging the floppy connector to the ct63 wrongly some time ago. Now that I am in pre vacations mode I had a chance to revisit it. First of all i found my original 4mb card and connected it. Then I connected the falcon to a vga monitor...

Re: Crown of creation test:

Yeah, same thing happened to me back then when I played it. It ended at mission 18-20 or something. The main problem was I think that the game was too easy. Silly levels of easy. But nothing stopped me from reaching the end.. I think at least.

Re: WIFI for all ataris over serial!

OK, I've had partial success in getting sting to use serial 2 by changing the route.tab to Ser.2/LAN. However when I try to open the connection I see the blue led of the esp lighting up but eventually the system ends with connection time out. I think I am missing something since I am not that experi...

Re: First steps (I have wanted an ST for 30 years and now I have one)?

Hi, and welcome. I'll get straight to the point. The Mega STE has no composite video (maybe some do, not 100%) so you need a VGA monitor and an adapter, which is easy to make. High resolution should work on any VGA monitor but low/med needs a monitor that syncs to 15khz. Or get a scandoubler. That'...

The hard disk driver could impact compatibility, especially if you try to write to reserved addresses.

You could also pexec() (or EXEC in gfabasic) to launch another application and pass parameters to it.

Re: WIFI for all ataris over serial!

The only machine i have with a serial is the mste i hope it can do that. However the max232 adapter i have works since i am able to read from my arduino with it. I see in your design you connect some capacitors with the ground. From my adaptation, i use an integrated rs232 to ttl converter on a brea...
