Re: Games which benefit from 16 mhz + cache on the Mega Ste

Re: Mega STe PSU replacement with Flex ATX

So quick question, will the mste work without the -5V? Because I just want to check whether my MSTE's problems are due to the psu and I don't want to spend 40+ euros for that.

And dbug. Some games that really benefit from faster CPU are:

Quartz, Dragonbreed, Plutos, Wonderboy in Monsterland, Frantick, Erik, Navy Seals, R-Type II

Re: uip-tool

Just to let you know I've just run this tool and I love it. It's very fast on my mste. BTW, how do you measure speed? It doesn't show it anywhere.

going by the network tab on firefox, I get:48kb/s on 8-Mhz and 73Kb/s on 16MHz + cache.

Re: WIFI for all ataris over serial!

Internet.zip Hello Christos, hope the file helps you to investigate whats going wrong. I saw your message late but not too late :-) The TCP.STX is different from the original. Czietz has done some fix in there but i don't know what he has changed. But anyway this should not be the main problem. You...

Re: WIFI for all ataris over serial!

Some helping hints for you 1) Did you change the rate in cpx modul? 2) Did you save the sting.prt? 3) Did you change the route.tab in the sting file? 4) 8Mhz or 16Mhz Mega Ste. I have done it with 8Mhz. 5) Check the Hsmod6 files of Harun Scheutzow 6) Did you do Autosort in the Auto Folder Hope this...

PS2 joypad to Atari ST joystick and mouse converter projects

Hi, if you like take a look at my two projects to connect a playstation 2 controller as an Atari ST joystick or mouse. Both projects work on my system and it was fun doing them. I also learned quite a bit about how the Atari joystick and mouse works and I have to say that they are both ingenious in ...

Mega STE Joystick Port

Hello, I was trying to make my own PS2 controller to atari joystick adapter using Arduino and while the directionals worked perfectly I couldn't get the fire button to work. Looking into it with my trusted volltometer I noticed that the Mega outputs a 0.3V current at pin 6 every few milliseconds whi...

Re: Amikit style blob/OS for Atari?

Anyway something that you can use to find and install software with just a few clicks. I have done quite a lot of work on something like this, and abandoned it. Even something as "simple" as you describe gets tricky when you start to run into special cases. Doable for sure, but the amount...

A couple of years ago. Repairability is unknown. The ct63 works though. Ajax chip exploded. So you been without a Falcon for a few years? The Ajax chip can be easily changed out, i am wondering why would connecting your ct63 wrong attack your Ajax chip?, i would asume it would hit the power rail. S...

Re: Amikit style blob/OS for Atari?

I'd prefer a repository. Something like synaptic where you can find various software to install. It shouldn't be too hard too implement. I mentioned in another thread the possibility of a Debian/MiNT distro, which I think would be fantastic! I wasn't thinking something so extreme. I guess something...

Re: WIFI for all ataris over serial!

Atariosimus, I managed to get 38400 and connect at both 57600 and 115200 on modem 2. Unfortunately the last two speeds are not stable and the system keeps losing connection. Still I had success. On an unrelated note, I am really not sure what I had done wrong with my experiments because I had the sa...

Re: My fried falcon

@mpattonm, thank you, I might take you up on your offer. I am borrowing a falcon diagnostic cart from a friend to see if I can assess the damage. Then it's just a matter to see if it's economical to fix it. @mikro, yeah I know. Still it was nice seeing something on the screen. I still hope for a fal...
