You could also pexec() (or EXEC in gfabasic) to launch another application and pass parameters to it.

Re: WIFI for all ataris over serial!

OK, I was very very stupid... I connected RX to TX on the max232 but I should have connected it RX-RX.

It works now. Thank you for your help czietz and thanks for your work on the firmware and the software package.

Re: WIFI for all ataris over serial!

Ok, I connected the esp01 using the usb2ttl adapter I used to program it and I opened it in arduino ide's serial monitor. I don't read anything. I don't see the blue led lighting up at all.
Many thanks for your help czietz!

Re: WIFI for all ataris over serial!

The only machine i have with a serial is the mste i hope it can do that. However the max232 adapter i have works since i am able to read from my arduino with it. I see in your design you connect some capacitors with the ground. From my adaptation, i use an integrated rs232 to ttl converter on a brea...

Re: WIFI for all ataris over serial!

Hi,
I build the device and I am trying to connect. Only problem is I get a connection time out. Any idea why is that? I had flashed the device correctly I think. It didn't output any errors.

Highwire works just fine with TOS. It's just faster with multitasking. However nowadays you are better off with CAB since highwire doesn't support SSL which most sites need.

Re: foss-north 2018: Atari ST Free Operating Systems

I see already, you need about another year to understand my idea. Same as with Vampire (soon this will be alive on ST board). Ps: If you don't need that unix stuff, just don't open the bash... Freemint is free software so there is nothing stoping you from creating your own distro. P.S. vanillamint ...

Re: SMSPlus for the Atari falcon

Unless you rework each game like Anima did with the x68k and the Neo Geo games there is no way you can emulate it on a standard Falcon. Megadrive should be unlikely on a CT60 without supervidel either way. Genecyst the oldest emulator needed a pentium with 8MB of RAM to work so it is within the CT60...

Saw the video. Looks fun. I wish my falcon was still alive. I'll give it a try on hatari. Thanks for the release! I am sure with a little a bit of fiddling you can get it to as good a speed as you want. It's just that the falcon is a bit strange in its graphics so you kind of need to work with it :)...

Re: Welcome to Neon Shooter!

Not clear for me: what is the targeted platform? I'd guess, android/ios. Definitely not ST though it could be doable on an accelerated falcon and maybe Jaguar with fewer particle effects. Nothing to do with this forum though, just a developer trying to publicize their game. Nothing wrong with that,...

Re: why use ASM anymore

I have programmed many languages and on PC it's mostly C or C++, C# and so on... But on older computers like the Atari I prefer the 68000 assembler. It's not much different than program in C. C: A = A + 1 ASM ADD #1,D0 C: A = B[10] ASM MOVE 10(a0),d0 It's more or less the same syntax so it's not di...

Well, unlike the jaguar users, they have offspring!

I agree. I even posted something silly on an emutos question because i didnt notice it was for fpga. I like reading about fpga atari but not so much about other cores.
If phpbb can supress subforums from appearing on the active list that would be great.

Also, there are so many sotb demo screens for the ST we have outgrown it as a community. It is a very badly designed game tha cant be fixed by altering a few things here and there.
Also zarchos you really need to stop taking every criticism as a personal attack. That's just silly.

Thank you very much! Now I all understanв! I decide buy falcon. Or is it possible to run vga falcon games on STE? I would suggest trying the Falcon games on Hatari first and see if you like any of them enough to buy a real machine. Most people (especially people who originate from the Amiga) think ...

I really wish those accelerators would include a little bit of fast RAM too. 4. Overclocked 68000 without cache. Very limited use, speed increase almost not noticeable in real life. I removed mine, because it caused timing problems with other hardware expansions (MonSTer and Reflex graphics card) w...

What I find really sad is that Atari ST users are left without a hardware replacement for their system. MiST is still available in the shop. Buy it then. Atari ST sources are available to port to other boards. FPGA core is not a food - it won't be rotten. You still can continue to use as long as yo...

I didnt buy a MiST because I couldnt justify spending the money in this time and age.it was on my list of things I wanted though. What I find really sad is that Atari ST users are left without a hardware replacement for their system.

Anyway, thanks for all your work. It is appreciated.
