Cool! - How did you hook it up? Is it just the normal DIN to VGA that you usually got mono through, or via SCART?

Re: A small request...Geneva

Thanks all :) Atarieterno's copy works a treat with Hatari. For the record - this is the setup: Hatari emulating STe 68000 @ 32Mhz / 14mb RAM / TOS 2.06 / VDI extended video in mono / "real" HD image / Geneva 4 & Neodesk 4. Notes: Needs "real" HD image, won't work on shared f...

Re: A small request...Geneva

Trying to install Geneva+Neodesk 4 on Hatari using the images from the main Geneva thread. Geneva is running a treat but Neodesk has been pain - it seems the images aren't complete as the Neodesk installer just immediately errors out asking for an install script file that isn't present. Does anyone ...

Re: Dreaming of a Next Gen Atari - one can Dream!

My feeling is that we already have this in the Firebee. It has more than enough horsepower for pretty much anything a TOS application is going to throw at it. The main focus really needs to be on software rather than hardware, developing programs that can make the most of the opportunities provided ...

Re: Overall strategy for hardware mods, upgrades, clones

I recall putting out a concept for a new VME gfx card in the past, going with existing supported chipsets to avoid the driver headaches. The ET4K does have that advantage. Supply is surprisingly not an issue. Clones are still produced in China for some reason (embedded systems, I guess). However my ...

Is it still possible to put in an order for a firebee? Not in a position to do so right now, but would be interested in doing so in a month or two.

Just coming back to this. I used to love ST Review, but only got a couple of issues before it folded into ST Format. Has anyone archived them online?

Re: WordPlus 5.04 (successor of That's Write)

NOSYS folder, there's an AUTO folder program in there that's needed too. I'll dry and dig up the floppy images as well, so you can do a clean install. With NOSYS, it runs nicely in Steem.

Re: WordPlus 5.04 (successor of That's Write)

That sounds about right. WordPlus 5.04 mentions a company called No Software in the about page, which suggests it's the same engine at work. It's a real shame as a great WP package. Wonder why they did that? It would seem to only make more work for the developers.

Re: Word Perfect dated April 18, 1991

I've got version 5.0 dated March 1, 1991 - if that's any good to you? I have noticed however, that exported files in WP format aren't read correctly by the WP import filters on MS Office 2k. Just a heads up.

Re: Flashback on atari ST....

Next question of why it wasn't ported (seeing as it of course was possible) - well we have DFRSilver's anecdotal evidence. Perhaps the degraded performance was a deal breaker for the coders (artistic egos not willing to compromise?), or maybe it really was a case of not enough profit from ST games ...

Re: SH204 has a 50 pin SCSI card to RLL/MFM?

going to try this with my "dead" Megafile 60! Thanks for the tip. These drives might be old, but to be honest, 60mb is still a useful drive for a TOS system. Is there a way to muffle the thing though? A while ago I was considering installing some acoustic foam inside the case so I could he...

Re: Atari TT,Falcon, MSTe (VME) hardware interesting to deve

:) cool The release of CosmosEx made me think about the idea of if it is possible to do something for the TT using a Raspberry Pi: GFX card? USB mass storage and CDROMS (bootable) and wifi (dongle)? Is this possible? I think the biggest problem you'd face with the Pi would be that it takes a long t...

Re: Atari TT,Falcon, MSTe (VME) hardware interesting to deve

Was thinking about this last night, and this is really just a vague idea so please gods don't ask me for details, but here goes: A single card WiFi adapter, utilising the ROM cartridge port, much like the Netusbee, with drivers for Sting and MintNet. Very simple, no other bells and whistles, in orde...
