Re: Bugger! by Reservoir Gods

Since the last time, I've had a response from the main man, Mr Pink himself. Hey Chris, Fantastic to hear people are still playing bugger. It is a really great party game! Unfortunately, I don't have easy access to much of my 90's codebase - basically all the Falcon stuff. I started archiving and ba...

Re: Bugger! by Reservoir Gods

I've got the main man's email address (Mr Pink) and I'll send him the link to this page.

No promises, but I'm sure he'll appreciate the thought at least :-)

Btw guys, you should really do something about the CT2s -- I really want to code something CT2-specific in not so distant feature! :)

Colour me interested 8)

Re: ZXR 0.1a (new Speccy emu)

I've done a little bit of random and unscientific testing. Nothing as yet on real hardware. Screengrabs are below. You will note that I've made up a fantasy TT running EmuTOS. Any mention of a real (Falcon 4.04) TOS will get as far as the title screen and then it hangs. no keys work and Hatari as a ...

In some cases, yes. It doesn't support paging however.

So lack of paging rules out 128k systems I guess?

I'm not at home but will try this next week.

Is this using a new z80 core, as mentioned in the past? If so, can this be repurposed for other z80 based emulators, eg. Amstrad CPC, MSX and even an up to date ZX81?

Grand work all around!

I loved Daniel's demo, but especially 'The Twist'. That really made me smile.

I'm intrigued as to what sort of catering Doug Little (DML) provided?

Re: SMSPlus for the Atari falcon

Is there any chance of a Sega megadrive emulator for a ct60 falcon? Damn that would be nice

From my non-coding perspective, I'm guessing an '060 class machine to run something like that at all...

Also somewhat hand-optimised to make it run half-decently.

If you go there today there are usually some old guys sitting around 1 bar electric fires saying how good it was in the days of mass software piracy.

They may be able to tell you all about the unreleased PB Magazine #24

Re: Porting SOTB to the Falcon

Hey guys you know what ? The Falcon is going to leave the desk to free some more room for the Archies and the Q68. There's no stamina or artistry these days. Back in the day, we would have been teased with constant updates, maybe the odd tantalising screenshot. Possibly even a pre-pre-preview versi...

Re: Very first computer

I had one of these for Xmas 1981. http://www.izotop.com/images/zx81.gif My first magazines were 'Your Computer' and 'Computer and Video Games'. I didn't even have a tape recorder at the start, so had to type everything in for the early days. Then when the machine was switched off, it was lost for go...

Re: We redesign the STE

Forget demos, it is considered as utmost rubbish by 90% of Acorn users : ask them, they will answer 'loss of time, childish, non productive.' There are a few games, including libraries to create yours (but nobody cares about that, frankly). That distainful attitude goes right back to the early days...

That looks like a lot of emulators in one place!

From an Atari point of view, I wonder what the minimum requirements are to run this on TOS hardware. I'm guessing something like a Firebee, or possibly a CT60 Falcon if we're pushing our luck :-)

Re: Bad Apple by Fenarinarsa (Atari STe demo) !!!!!

Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work on my 4MB STE with UltraSATAN and HDDriver 10.10. It just stops on the intro screen with only a little of the "progress bar" showing. I think there is a option on the HD Driver util/settings prog that needs to be selected, something to do with making ...
