Re: Allister Brimble's Dizzy tracks

No. You can’t pass a value to D1 in winjam , sc68 or sndplayer. The sndh’s will need redoing.

In the meantime give me your email and I’ll send update files.

Re: Allister Brimble's Dizzy tracks

The music driver (Amiga soundtracker chip routine) needs two values on init.

D0 - Sub tune
D1 - Loop yes/no

Currently the SNDH sets loop to off. However I may modify them so actual tunes loop and small fx and jingles do not loop.

ok back from hols! 75 - unripped, I think it's by Dr Beat/Veggie checking! Will check the music driver. 93 second - TLB Syntax Terror - Mr Hippel 125 - unripped - by Joard (Synth dream player) 129 - Return to Medusa song 3 - Hippel. I guess people struggled with this due to the tune only playing aft...

Hi ya.

Yes you need these memory set up commands to play most maxymiser tunes as gwEm uses system calls to reserve buffer space for samples.

Re: Looking for an sndh/rip of...

Of course it’s in the SNDH archive :)

Regarding “fancied up”

The original version is in the archive as well as the SID-I-fied version which has added sid voices (used in the hipsid demo)

Re: Madmax's tracker ?

He released the tool at STNICCC2k (2000) didn't he? I remember him composing using it there. Ask Grazey of PHF. Seems he shows a kind of TFMX editor at STNICC 2015. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/ds3U8wfzNEipFTdkEtNt7Wu9riU4651Bxs5q8D9aXmYMOSgle6tLDdur1WKVAOfoK25vZ983L5yM=w1140-h855-no That's my...

I emailed him a while ago for permission but drew a blank. I'm more inclined to think the reasoning is that he's too busy to reply rather than he d...

Re: Enhance ST games for the Falcon ?

Well quite a few games select sfx by passing a number in a data reg to the music/sound routine - just like a sub tune. CJ / D-Bug / Reboot - uses this method to make Jaguar ports for many ST games - featuring sampled fx. It's especially easy for arcade conversions as u can nick the fx/samples from t...

Re: Enhance ST games for the Falcon ?

Yes it's pretty easy.

I also did ninja remix with the Amiga music and also Giana Sisters (both on D-Bug)

It's just a matter of patching the init and play routines

It's also possible to make similar enhancements in the STe depending on how efficient the replay code is.

Hi Rich

My Music Studio to SNDH converter program is on the PHF website download/atari/tools

Just copy the program to the location of the music studio files then run the program. It will automatically create SNDH files.

Re: Who composed Venus the Flytrap?

I'm pretty certain the music is by Jason Sheppard. My reasoning is Venus the Flytrap and BSS Jane Seymour both feature identical music drivers. BJS is credited within the game as Jason Sheppard. I've never seen this music driver used in any other ST games - it's definitely not daglish's or lowe's mu...

First post by me on here in 7 years.

But Zamuels release deserves this. Giana is In my top 10 ST games (even taking Into account the flip screening). Your version adds a totally new dimension. Well done.
