Dave, what's your status regarding "resolution"? Are you satisfied now with modes.prg?

Re: Status of second run Firebees

Please cancel my order Seriously? You are expecting me to take orders, or cancellings by a public forum posting? Usually a preorder is bindingly. I am sure we will find a solution as there are a lot of people waiting for another free machine, But you have to contact the project: acpinfo at firebee ...

Re: xboot

Dave, Jo Even did a damn good job when he programmed modes.prg for FreeMiNT. Please try to understand how resolution change is done in FireTOS and FreeMiNT. Please see the support article at firebee.org regarding resolution changes in XaAES: http://firebee.org/fb-bin/page?label=mint_sel_screen_res&a...

Re: Status of second run Firebees

Mathias, you should chill out a bit :| Of course I could start to chill immediatly, and do nothing anymore. But I am not sure if the people who are waiting for their machines would like me to do so. ;) And once again, the question wasn't polite. It was a public accusion to create public pressure! A...

Re: Status of second run Firebees

Warp asked in such a polite way What Warp did was not to ask politely. If he would have been just interrested, he would have sent a mail like everybody else who needs informations (and who is not already informed by other postings here, the Firebee website or other informations channels). What he d...

Re: Status of second run Firebees

If you do not like to rush, why are you asking publicly? So yes, we are damn slow with delivering. We are doing everything in our spare time as you know. Nobody is earning anything. So, once again: all FireBees are produced and work well for a very long time now (after the rework), we are just slow ...

Re: alienkidmj12s FireBee

Dave, I asked you last year already to get a cheap USB keyboard and mouse. It is 15 bucks for both and you cold verify a lot of your "issues". Nobody of us is using an Eiffel, so we cannot reproduce what you are doing. Please get some USB-Stuff, and and we all will all have a lot more easy...

Re: alienkidmj12s FireBee

Strange thread, I don't think it is meant for a public forum to be honest. Well, you are not that wrong. But the last days Dave sent messages on every channel and also at firebee.org publicly as I didn´t answer within 48 hours, and also created some public pressure. So I thought we could perhaps tr...

Re: alienkidmj12s FireBee

About FAQs: I know that I could do so. But belive me, people don´t read them. It was extremely frustrating to write all the support articles and nevertheless get all the questions, which are answered there, again and again. See Daves question in the other thread where he asked for a FreeMiNT copy, w...

Re: alienkidmj12s FireBee

OK Dave, You know I exchanged a lot of mails and PMs with you. Any time we communicate, you mainly postulate your speculations what might be the cause of your problems. We talked very long about your keyboard. I asked you to get a cheap USB one (without built in USB Hub), ... Than we talked about bo...

Re: alienkidmj12s FireBee

He also has an usolved Keyboard issue. Also I think he still does not understand TOS (in ROM), and MiNT (at mass storage). But let´s wait for him. The last info was his FireBee does not boot anymore, and he never could use it.

alienkidmj12s FireBee

alienkidmj12 has various and unsolvable problems with his Firebee that he has for more than one year now at his place. I suggest that we try to solve every issue here together and publicly. For me it would make a lot more sense to have this publicly, as other may have similar issues, and I am tired ...

Re: Missing FireBee

edingacic, I will never hand over my personal FireBee to you! ;) They are are produced by Medusa Computer Systems in Switzerland not by me (so I just have my own one). The software is done in Open Source ways by anybody who likes to put spare time into the project. I am just the crazy guy who has a ...

Ok guys: 1.) Everybody who preordered will get his/her FireBee! The machines are waiting for you and get shipped the upcoming weeks and months. Also Bengys machine is waiting for him. ;) And for the records, we are shipping all the time, slowly but steadily. For example last week another machine arr...

Firebee.org Server Problems

Sadly the project is facing bigger server issues at the moment. Since last Thursday the domain firebee.org is not accessible and our mailboxes are not reachable. Today it turned out that this is a serious problem, that might take another week or two to get solved. Our admins are working at the probl...

Re: Coldfire V5

A lot of time has passed since their ARM offensive and they might be amenable to selling a small backstock of v5 if they have any. I don't know if the v5e made it into any printers but some of them can be had for £50-100 on ebay and the cpu could be extracted. BGA mounted ? [edit] It looks like the...

Re: Coldfire V5

Of course we tried it. And we tried it hard. The problem ist the produced chips are done as a Joint Venture from HP and Freescale. The agreed upon an NDA, so we can get the chips (at least the 400MHz versions easily, the 540 not that often), but no ducumentation at all. So we would have som BGA with...

Re: Status of second run Firebees

Hi Xyla, of course you Firebee exists! ;) It is working well and waiting for shipping. We are shipping the boards slowly since August this year. Best is if you contact us by mail so that we can talk about the payment. And no, there are no further FireBees for sale from Medusa. We are sold out at the...

Re: Bad Flash on my Firebee

If you use the latest FireTOS from 2014 you are using the correct cpx as well (as the one wich is included is the only working one). So I am really wondering what might be the IDE issue. What BaS are you using? You should give BaS Codewarrior a try and see if the problems are gone.

Re: MOD files on Firebee

Well in general: If you try new programs, take the 68000 versions if there are CPU spcific versions. The cf68klib that is included into FireTOS at the FireBee is not for 68030 or 68060 commands. In most cases the 68000 versions work well, like Highwire does! Also I´d suggest to every new FireBee use...
