Re: Coldfire V5

A lot of time has passed since their ARM offensive and they might be amenable to selling a small backstock of v5 if they have any. I don't know if the v5e made it into any printers but some of them can be had for £50-100 on ebay and the cpu could be extracted. BGA mounted ? [edit] It looks like the...

Re: Coldfire V5

Of course we tried it. And we tried it hard. The problem ist the produced chips are done as a Joint Venture from HP and Freescale. The agreed upon an NDA, so we can get the chips (at least the 400MHz versions easily, the 540 not that often), but no ducumentation at all. So we would have som BGA with...

Re: Status of second run Firebees

Hi Xyla, of course you Firebee exists! ;) It is working well and waiting for shipping. We are shipping the boards slowly since August this year. Best is if you contact us by mail so that we can talk about the payment. And no, there are no further FireBees for sale from Medusa. We are sold out at the...

Re: Bad Flash on my Firebee

If you use the latest FireTOS from 2014 you are using the correct cpx as well (as the one wich is included is the only working one). So I am really wondering what might be the IDE issue. What BaS are you using? You should give BaS Codewarrior a try and see if the problems are gone.

Re: MOD files on Firebee

Well in general: If you try new programs, take the 68000 versions if there are CPU spcific versions. The cf68klib that is included into FireTOS at the FireBee is not for 68030 or 68060 commands. In most cases the 68000 versions work well, like Highwire does! Also I´d suggest to every new FireBee use...

Everybody is still on the list warp12! No fear, we are progressing slowly with shipping but we are progressing. The only people who are not on the list, are the ones who ordered the last few months, but they got immediate informations that they are at a "waiting list" now, and all of the c...

Re: Flashing the Firebee Using a PC

Very well done! And is´t a pity that there are no TBLCFs around any more! Getting an PC laptop to be able to flash the FireBee, ... In future we will care about TBLCFs on our own. Prototypes are already done! Is somebody willing to check all the software and all the licences of the software that Gam...

Re: MOD files on Firebee

It seems the informations about activities around the FireBee start to fade away recently, … Highwire was working well already years ago as 68k version (not the 060 or 030 builts!). But gladly m0n0 did also a clean ColdFire built of it. Grab it at his website: https://freeshell.de/~monokrom/geeklog/...

Re: Bad Flash on my Firebee

Anyone ever use debug for this purpose and where to find the program? Gamer, you really should start to read carefully, first the public available informations, and also what a lot of teammembers already wrote to you in many many mails/PMs etc. 1.) dBug is at Didiers website. You can find the link ...

Yes, for more than 5 years! It's at every C partition of delivered FireBees and called "readme.txt" inside the folder "flasher".

Re: CF setup

Not necessarily. As you have CF-Card problems, I would give you some components for flashing which are newer and have improved IDE implementations, and that work well at least at my FireBee. We also could use this opportunity to drive the official release of the new software further, and if there ar...

Re: CF setup

To me it seems that you flashed some BETA versions of the ROM software (FireTOS, EmuTOS, BaS, BaS_gcc, FPGA) from earlyer this year that are not public, and mixed things up. We should start reflashing all components in your ROM with well working software and known versions. Are you the one who conta...

Re: FireBee revival

Now this will sound harsh, but I think his methods, the way he acted and decitions he took might be one of the reasons quite a few people left the team and why there is in fact no real progress on it. There is a good reason why HW/SW design decitions should be made by engineers, not musicians. I do...

You could of course also start to read support articles we wrote and translated. Regarding the SD-Card this one for example:

Re: Free Pascal - now on Atari TOS

About the CF support, it's definitely doable. I tried to connect the FireBee team already, but sadly got no response at all to my e-mail. The FireBee is definitely an attractive target, because the compiler's CF support was only tested using QEMU on Linux, and not real hardware. But I don't think I...

More powerfill as Firebee ever could be(e). You still do not understand the basics. After you annoyed us at atari-home.de, you continue to tell crap here. Once again: The Vampire card (the new "huge one") has the same FPGA like the FireBee! You will not make anything better, not for the A...
