Should I update the JPEGD version on devdocs? Or prefer to have multiple versions there?

Re: TT030 with VME Crazydots

Backup all the config files and then try the Video Mode Generator program. A resolution of 1280*1024 in 2 colors might be pushing it. My TT030 is in storage so I can't fire it up and look at anything.

My CrazyDots 2 works fine with NVDI v5. I never tried the original drivers as the card was bought 2nd hand and the driver disk was missing.

Actually I know it as "screen burn-in". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Screen_burn-in
There's example code on the gfa master disk or in Frank's book showing how to patch the editor colors.

I have a version 2 card and it can do 24-bit right out of the box. Version 1 needs a small add-on daughter board to manage modes beyond 256 colors.

Re: PFX packer

This should be obvious. It doesn't support the packing method. If the program can't identify the packing method, it's probably a custom packer someone made just to keep you from doing what you are trying to do. My experience has been this, if these multi-depack apps can't handle it, you are screwed ...

Re: GFA - Calling Zview to display a picture

Glad to help. You can use appl_find() to check if zview is already running. You only need the base filename and it must be padded to 8 characters with spaces. find$="ZVIEW" status&=APPL_FIND(LEFT$(find$+SPACE$(8),8)) TosWin2 has an option to write log file: Options -> Config console Se...

Re: GFA - Calling Zview to display a picture

It might be that shel_write() does not format the command line for you. Try this:

Code: Select all

file$="C:\PICTURE.TGA"
c$=CHR$(LEN(file$))+file$
~SHEL_WRITE(1,1,0,c$,"C:\ZVIEW\ZVIEW.APP")

PureC has done this to me a couple of times leaving a file I can't delete under normal circumstances. The filename appeared blank. Oddly I was able to delete them from gfabasic with the KILL command.

Re: guide to GEM coding with AHCC

GEM does not provide any sort of AES message when data arrives that needs processed. You end up having to use an evnt_multi() with the timer option and then polling the serial port from a timer subroutine. As for the bitmap buffering. From my own experience, GEM doesn't normally provide rendering to...
