Re: PFX packer

This should be obvious. It doesn't support the packing method. If the program can't identify the packing method, it's probably a custom packer someone made just to keep you from doing what you are trying to do. My experience has been this, if these multi-depack apps can't handle it, you are screwed ...

For the speaker have a look at the source code of XCONTROL.ACC. Specifically file BLOCK2.C.

Re: GFA - Calling Zview to display a picture

Glad to help. You can use appl_find() to check if zview is already running. You only need the base filename and it must be padded to 8 characters with spaces. find$="ZVIEW" status&=APPL_FIND(LEFT$(find$+SPACE$(8),8)) TosWin2 has an option to write log file: Options -> Config console Se...

Re: GFA - Calling Zview to display a picture

It might be that shel_write() does not format the command line for you. Try this:

Code: Select all

file$="C:\PICTURE.TGA"
c$=CHR$(LEN(file$))+file$
~SHEL_WRITE(1,1,0,c$,"C:\ZVIEW\ZVIEW.APP")

You can find it at https://www.dev-docs.org/docs/
However, it's not a drawing program. It's software that works with a digitizer.

Re: File that can not be deleted or renamed.

PureC has done this to me a couple of times leaving a file I can't delete under normal circumstances. The filename appeared blank. Oddly I was able to delete them from gfabasic with the KILL command.

If the palette split is interrupt driven, you can try disabling it before disk i/o, then re-enabling it after disk i/o. Just and idea. ;)

Re: guide to GEM coding with AHCC

GEM does not provide any sort of AES message when data arrives that needs processed. You end up having to use an evnt_multi() with the timer option and then polling the serial port from a timer subroutine. As for the bitmap buffering. From my own experience, GEM doesn't normally provide rendering to...

Re: "WTF?" issue - help

Devpac certainly has its quirks. I had it complain about the IIF directive being on the same line as a label in an include that never changes. However it compiled fine for months, then suddenly it's a problem. It's done this to me twice. Very bizarre.

You can disable individual optimizations, but looking thought the manual I don't see where it lists that specific optimization. You can always add to the source: OPT O- ;all optimizations off for test purposes

Sure, here it is. I only modified BLOWCONF.PRG. I eased the frequency restrictions since they don't really apply to an emulator. The warnings have been removed. It will throw an alert if the screen ram exceeds 2mb, just click the default button, save the config anyway.

Re: 1024x768 Resolution in 256 colors or Higher

I had no luck with VI2 and aranym. BlowUp030 topped out at 928 complaining about something. I was able to tweak the source code of BlowUp030 and recompiled it. Now I can get 1008x1024 in TC easily. As noted above, anything over 1008 pixels wide doesn't work. Thanks for the info guys.
