Re: LDW/LBC COMPILLER

I contacted Bogdan Blaszczak the author of LDW Basic Compiler and inquired about the source code. His reply was ... Sorry, I do not have sources. LDW closed long time ago. In case anyone else gets the same idea, now you know.

Re: PH Gmap - Google maps, Street View, Routes, GPX & more

It seems to work ok now. One small visual issue. The call to menu_register() really should use a string beginning with 2 spaces. If I hide and unhide the app it destroys it's own menu entry name. Also the check mark when it's topped appears over top the name. I'm referring to the drop-down menu that...

My first install was KGMD with translation by kellis and he was on IRC in real-time cheering me on. Yes, I said he, as kellis was actually Fred on his wife's account. I'm still in contact with Fred aka kellis. ;)

Is it me or odd coincidence you update an app that uses a google service (maps) and suddenly everything halts. Hopefully it's some misunderstanding.

Re: Is Atari wiki down?

I was helping the main programmer of RECOIL improve his ST support went it crapped out by overhauling the ST Picture Format wiki page. Having no local backup freaked me out initially as I thought it was all lost, but Dal assured me it was not and he is correct. If you are desperate you can hit view ...

From what I was told the data is intact, but the display layer is having some issue. If you hit view source, you can see that is true.

In that particular case, then naes will invoke the cf68klib and probably does feel slower where as xaaes is native coldfire build.

Do you have any development notes for N.AES ?

The only documentation I am aware of is in the NAES hyp included with NAES itself. Also TOSHYP where it notes certain AES calls as NAES only.

On my TT I could tell. Hades060 I didn't notice any difference. What machine are you using?

Re: PH Gmap - Google maps, Street View, Routes, GPX & more

Judging by the opcodes in the illegal aes error messages I'd assume it relies on WDialog which is often the case of software written for magic. I probably have ndialog installed, but if I recall correctly it didn't replace wdialog 100%. Situation is just the opposite here, I used to have xaaes insta...

Does not seem to work at all under N.AES. I get no error messages, just blank windows. Only option that works seems to be Quit. You can also see in the snapshot the title bar of the initial window appears partially under the menu bar.

The trademark name "Atari" is a different type of asset. Yes, no one disputes that they actively peruse that.

I'll worry about it on that day a "Cease and desist" notice arrives, until then it sounds like paranoia to me over a simple inquiry.

Re: Future source-code patches for TOS 2.06/3.06

I once talked to a well known software author about this very topic. It comes down to damages. Atari has not sold or supported TOS for over 20 years, therefore cannot prove any finical damages whatsoever. Nor can they prove any illegal activity has harmed the company or their reputation in any way....

Having tried to track down everything GFA related for the past 20 some years I have some experience asking for source code from individuals and companies. I've heard every excuse in the book. The most common reply is, they don't have it anymore, or the media has gone bad. But, Joska raises a good po...

That might be possible with the newly leaked bios/xbios/gemdos layers that were missing from earlier TOS4 archives.

The roms are spread all over the net as it is, and enough internal documents and leaked source code at my site to turn some heads. However, it goes completely unnoticed for years. If they wanted to cash in on TOS they would of done so already. My 2 cents. ;)

Oh ttram. I missed that. Perhaps the jumper settings allow that. Not sure. I have spare ttram boards laying around, but never got around to photos.
It should actually stop at 10mb when it does the stram test. Weird.
