Re: WINDTAB AND THE AES WIND_xxx FUNCTION

CLEARW internally use Line-A blit, not good. WINDTAB imposes 4 window limit. These built in commands assume single tasking TOS. All in all not worth using and you won't learn proper window handling with this method. These commands by design are kludges, so you're on the right track. ;)

Re: zView plugin reader_read output format

Btw if i understand correctly a zview ldg will never return a line in atari bitplane mode? I would expect this format to be the most natural one for legacy atari formats such as art, degas, img... Correct. The zcodeclib does this conversion to atari bitmap. Like I said, pretty sure he designed thes...

Re: zView plugin reader_read output format

All I had to go by was the source code to the codecs in the plugin folder. I never found any detailed documentation on the codecs themselves. There is however documentation about the zcodeclib. I think he wrote the codecs for his lib and never expected anyone to use the plugins directly. Just my gue...

Re: zView plugin reader_read output format

Correct, pretty sure the buffer is always 1 byte = 1 index. A codec can output image data however it wants, so long as it's one of the data formats zView supports. A codec could output a Degas file in full 24-bit for example, that would not be wise, but it can legally be done. The person writing the...

Re: zView plugin reader_read output format

The indexed flag in the structure should be set true. The buffer is then indexes into the palette that's returned.

Re: zView plugin reader_read output format

The zcodeclib does all the heavy work, calling the modules, flipping images upside down if needed (Targa for example are sometimes stored upside down), dithering, resizing, etc. It then builds a bitmap for you with a MFDB. Sometime ago I did some tests calling zView LDG modules directly. The modules...

Are you calling the LDG modules directly or did you link zorro's zcodeclib?

WIND_xxx() functions don't work with WINDTAB. Also DELETEW is not a valid command. ;)

Re: Window refresh problems under Geneva/Neodesk

Enhancer has a much smaller footprint than NVDI. I wrote a vdi demo using NVDI offscreen bitmaps however it does not work with Enhancer. All I get is a solid black blit. No idea why. I would suggest doing tests with Enhancer before getting to deep into any changes if you decide to go that route.

Re: VISION 4.1a is out!

@lp/vido: is there a description for such ldg usable by zview? BTW unless a 680x0 application can load a ColdFire ldg, there is no interest to have this; and compiling VISION for ColdFire may be complicated especially because of the pure 680x0 routines I don't want to port to 'C'. https://sourcefor...

Re: VISION 4.1a is out!

I maked some zView load modules. Complete list here: http://atari.gfabasic.net/stg/zcodecs.htm I ended up writing these for zView because I found GemView scheme harder to implement and all the docs are German. However, the scheme isn't perfect. The load modules can't report back what went wrong (lik...

Re: Is there a dialect of BASIC that ...

No BASIC I know of provides full blown structures. However, GFA can sort of simulate a single structure using the ABSOLUTE command. Not sure what the proper term is, but you can't create multiple instances of the same simulated structure. It's rather limited, but I've found it handy at times. ' setu...

Hi ThorstenOtto, I gave snapshot v1.1 a try and noticed a minor visual thing. When "output truecolor" is enabled the last two letters remain in the disabled color. Using ARanyM + MiNT + NAES + NVDI on my system. If I click "help" it then redraws itself and looks correct. Probably...
