Re: Editing a message

It's common practice to restrict editing at most forums. To me it was more surprising they allowed it. The change seems logical.

The name made me laugh. I tested it.

Re: URGENT !!! ENCHANT or ENHANT II

I would not call windowed dialogs with all the bells and whistles crude. The better the AES the more it offers. Clearly you don't understand how it works.

Re: URGENT !!! ENCHANT or ENHANT II

It has nothing to do with MiNT and everything to do with AES version. ;)

Re: Jane "AVP Coder" provecd to be an industry fake!

Indeed an eyeopener. Andrew/Jane used to hangout on IRC. I can recall spending quite some time chatting with this guy. Yup, some pretty unusual conversations. If only I had made logs! I still have his email address. Yup, I asked him to track down the author of GFABASIC because he "seemed to kno...

Re: zView 1.0.2 released

I've only converted two codecs so far, but they do shrink in size. The overall foot print will certainly be better than the LDG model. Disabling codecs that load obscure formats is certainly a good idea. Quite a few of them are obscure and unlikely to be found in the wild, you actually have to go lo...

If this problem persists, can you supply these img files?

Re: GFABASIC killing the environment

Initially litchi.gfa complained about the rsc file not found then I noticed he didn't put the rsc in the source code archive. After correcting that it works here. I think I discovered this same issue recently and fixed it. Indeed the version of GBE you have is passing the wrong path. I will create a...

Re: GFABASIC killing the environment

I didn't allocate enough space for the two shorts in that structure, but since the corresponding bits are not set it should still work? I was not aware that XaXES extended this structure. I will adjust it accordingly in my current build just in case. The interpreter can be installed on the desktop a...

Re: GFABASIC killing the environment

The default directory entry should not be null. I used The Atari Compendium for this information. I've gotten burnt by the Compendium before. Will have to recheck my code and perhaps other documents.

Re: GFABASIC killing the environment

Yes, thanks, that should do it for now (for my tests at least; i think it would still be useful to have some global flag that is set automatically by GBE, since i also have to query the setting in a file that is #INCluded). In some older version of GBE i also found a sample referencing HIMEM+154, b...

Re: GFABASIC killing the environment

There's also this option. You can then hand edit the top line to change the 'Build Type'. Can I inquire what you are writing? I though you was more of a 'C' coder. ;) REM #BT= 0 !0=68K 1=CF / at the top of you code ' select the correct library REM #IFT 0 REM #LIB gbe 68k REM #EIT 1 REM #LIB gbe v4e ...

I could add a new feature, but I don't know much about 'C'. For example does the compiler get "__mcoldfire__" from the library or is that a user defined equate?

Re: GFABASIC killing the environment

Well not as elegant as 'C', but you can do this in GBE: REM #KEY M68K|CV4E !prompt user for target cpu ' REM #IFK 0 REM #BRK !abort make/run REM #EIK 1 REM #LIB new lib !select 68K library REM #EIK 2 REM #LIB cf v4e !select CF library REM #FIK ' ' then anywhere you wish to compile specific code bloc...

There's no rush to test my changes. I'll make a new archive at some point.

If I follow you correctly, you wish to compile specific code blocks based on the target cpu?

Re: GFABASIC killing the environment

Yes a special shel_write mode related to later versions of the AES and nothing specific to XaAES. Get the same results with NAES. The strings you dumped are passed by GBE. I have already fixed it. Do you want a new binary?

Google this: ergo!pro english atari
Yields a post from the author (Ingo) mentioning an English RSC file back in 2005. However, I don't think it was made public. Perhaps someone has a copy of it.
