Re: Help with adding music to GFA project

Padman,

That is brilliant! Thank you so much for taking the time to make this work. I will learn from your example. This is exactly what I was hoping for!

Re: Help with adding music to GFA project

See this thread: http://www.atari-forum.com/viewtopic.php?f=69&t=3850 I've seen that thread and got the SNDH code samples, but when I tried to implement the code it would load my background, then just pause my program while the song played, the song would end and then my program would continue....

Help with adding music to GFA project

Over the holiday I have been trying to learn a bit more about programming in GFA BASIC and I have created a program that loads a background Neochrome image, creates snowflake sprites which float down the screen over the background, and then runs a simple scrolling banner across the top. I had hoped ...

Re: Sprite Color

Actually, just changing the value in MKI$(sprite color) is enough, I thought maybe I needed the mask data to match the sprite data too but I didn't. Again, thanks for the tip.

Re: Sprite Color

Lonnie,

That totally worked. I looked at that manual example a dozen times and never realized I needed to make the mask data = to the sprite data. Once I did that, changing the sprite color worked as advertised.

Thanks!

Sprite Color

I've been messing about with the GFA Sprite command and have made a 16x16 FUJI sprite that I can move about the screen. What I cannot figure out is how to change the color of the sprite. I assume, maybe incorrectly, that the Sprite command only makes one colored sprites which is fine. However I can ...

Boxer is likely a 32 bit application. Catalina is 64 bit only. If that is the case, Boxer will no longer function.

GFA Tile game

Can anyone offer advice about going about loading an image offscreen and grabbing specific areas of said image to make a tile game. For instance, Rogue has this .NEO image with all of the art assets and I figured it might be useful in learning how to use this with GFA BASIC to make a simple tile gam...

Play .MID files on YM

I'm trying to help a friend locate a .MID file player for the ST that will output from the YM chip. I have very old programs like MIDIPLAY, which plays .MD2 files and The Music Studio that plays .SND, but cannot seem to find anything that will handle .MID

Any suggestions?

Re: SM124 vs Schneider MM12

I worked in a seafood restaurant in the late 80's and the POS terminals had Goldstar monitors that looked exactly like the SM124. I suppose that isn't a surprise since Goldstar made the monitor for Atari, but I found it fascinating as a teen.

Is the ATARISND.DRV selected in the MUSIC.PRG? I'm betting that you have the MT32 selected.

I see you have some Jaguar games as well. Are those for sale? If so, how much do you want for Power Drive Rally? Will you ship to the USA?

So many questions.....

Yes, it is an annual event held in New Jersey, USA. I had a great time, but it is exhausting interacting with so many people in one weekend :)
