Swap floppy boot drive

Hi all, Is it possible to implement some kind of floppy drive boot selector in CE ? My CE replace my A: Floppy, so when i want to test or play on some real floppy disks i had to plug my external drive. But most of the programs doesn't support to be executed from B: I know there's an hardware mod tha...

Re: Floppy Disk Readers fails at sectors 81 & 82

Thanks you for you answer.
The Atari Diagnostic Cartdridge call this the " Protected Sectors test".

OK i should consider those FDR as valid ones even if they fails this test.

So, nothin to do, fine for me. Thanks.... Yellow_Hot_Colorz_PDT_12

Floppy Disk Readers fails at sectors 81 & 82

Hi all, I just bought a nice diagnostic cartdridge and started to check and fix my pile of more or less broken ST/e. I was suprised to see that some of the original floppy disk readers ( ref: SONY- MP-F11W-U0 ) triggered an error when they had to format, read and write sector 81 & 82. They works...

Re: Vasm and directory separator

Seems i found a workaround. I define _WIN32 option in the COPTS part of the Makefile then compile. Under Linux relative path with backward or forward slashes separator are now considered as valid ones. Perhaps it may work under OSX as well. I had tested the last version (1.7g) with several sources w...

Vasm and directory separator

Hi all, I want to use vasm for compiling various sourcecodes. Sometimes incbin paths are made with the Windows directory separator "\", sometimes with the Linux one "/". I found that older versions of vasm (1.3) do accept the two separator in includes but when i compile and use a...

Re: New user, floppy emulation woes...

Hi,

Some basic questions :
Did you plug you CE to the internal or external floppy cable?
Did you select your disk image slot by pushing the select button front of your CE ?

Thanks,
Nrs.

Re: USB Mouse & Pad Unstable

Thanks for the update :) So i had turned on the ikbd logs and started to investigate about the Fuzion cd 87 Rodland bug. It makes a "Game Over" if you go up one time with the USB joypad - now tested with two different pad. My idea was to compare log with db9 joystick only ( no mouse ) and ...

Well, sorry Cyprian, i had managed to configure the nfs server but didn't manage to make it works. All seems fine on server side ( rpi )after creating configuration files but when i try to connect it rejects any clients. mount.nfs: access denied by server while mounting 192.168.1.73:/mnt Seems that ...

Re: Share USB pendrive

Yes, but not natively. See : http://blog.zwiegnet.com/linux-server/mount-nfs-share-windows-7/ I guess you could export your mnt folder on the rpi this way... Just had to configure /etc/exports on the rpi and restart the service. This way you could see your usb key content both on windows, linux and ...

Re: Share USB pendrive

I could add an option to share the USB drive, but first I have to check if all the needed linux tools are there... I had taken a quick look on the rpi linux system. There's no samba server. It is using cifs mount module to mount windows share ont the rpi filesystem as a client. I assume we may add ...

Re: Floppy media change detection

Thanks for the tip! I didn't know ESC would update the disk content. It works fine.
But It forces media change detection, we must not had to press this key in my scenario for displaying new content.

Cheers,

No CE_DD is not involved as i had this behaviour without it loads. HDDRIVER is loaded if found on the ACSI chain. He might be responsible of this behaviour. If i unplug acsi cable but HDRDRIVER has been loaded once, it does'nt autoboot on A: so disabling ACSI is not the solution. Btw if press "...

Re: Need some information on "Packing".

FYI, the image seems to work fine with the SD HxC Floppy Emulator too : Thanks you for testing. Our conclusion is that there is a problem the way Cosmosex handle this image disk... Jookie seems to thinks that the problems occurs when PRG are not relying on TOS function to read floppies. Why on Eart...
