Normally, only the US version uses PAL mode, all other (european) version use NTSC. Unless you patched the config bit in the ROM header (least significant bit of byte 29).

You mean the other way around, right?

I can get Mono to work if I reset the MiST a few times, but no luck with color.

Trouble with swedish TOS

Swedish TOS (1.62) does not seem to work on my Mist. UK and American works just fine. Does anybody else have that problem as well?
I only get a black screen with tos162se.

Re: Best ST joypad?

I remember a joypad I had, but I dont remember the name. It was white-ish, and fit perfectly in both hands. It was a two-part seperated pad, with one part going on one hand and the other in... the other hand. It worked a bit like todays Nintendo Switch thingys, so on left was the d-pad and on the ri...

Fuzion 102 music

In the TOSEC archive there's two versions. One with a cover of The Cure - Close to me, and another one which I do not know the name.
Which of them are the "official" one, and does anyone have the module (I guess) of the Close to me cover?

Re: Hatari 2.1.0 has been released

On my system it looks like this:

Code: Select all

C_FLAGS =  -Wcast-qual -Wbad-function-cast -Wpointer-arith -Wmissing-prototypes -Wstrict-prototypes -Wall -Wwrite-strings -Wsign-compare -Wformat-security -O3 -DNDEBUG

I use cmake 3.9.1 (Ubuntu 17.10)

Re: Hatari 2.1.0 has been released

My guess is that your distribution patches mingw-w64 somehow, so that off_t is the same as off64_t.
Could you check if you CFLAGS have -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 when cross compiling hatari? I wonder why I have to set it, and not you.

Re: Hatari 2.1.0 has been released

I got this from the mingw-w64 guys:
"We cannot change the definition of off_t without breaking compatibility,
so use off64_t explicitly instead.

Or try recompiling with -D_POSIX=1 -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64."

So I'll try that now.

Yes, it's possible Christer uses different mingw flags that the one I use when I do the "official" Windows binary for a new release (in that case, it means recording with the BMP codec will also stop at 2 GB with antartica's builds) At least, this is now fixed for PNG in main sources and ...

Re: hatari v 2.0.0 running ultra slow on most Raspberry machines

SDL2 have two, or three if you count x11, drivers for rPI. One legacy one (is enabled by default, if you compile it yourself, but is not enabled in Raspbian nor Arch Linux) - which is quite fast - and then it has a kmsdrm. The last one is a bit slow, but it's not using the legacy rpi drivers. kmsdrm...

Not much change with bUseSdlRenderer = FALSE. And full screen didn't really work.

Even the fkms driver with SDL2 is pretty slow compared to SDL1.
I can do some benchmarks, if you want.

Hi!

I'm looking a a teletext application that I *think* was included on some ST Format disk. I just don't remember the name :/ It did not require any extra device. To create text you wrote some kind of markup language (IIRC)
