Re: Cometball - New Atari Falcon game released

I reworked the engine a little bit. Nothing serious, but now it's a little smoother. Both story and arcade mode.

Re: Crown of creation test:

It is after Level 7 as far as I remember. Can check this next Weekend at Atariada... But if you really can install the game with your disks it may be fine. With the disks I tried (kyroflux Images written to disk) it already gave error during Installation.

Re: Hex-a-hop

Tried the new version on my CT2A Falcon (14+32MB, MagiC 6.2): Seems to behave like before, switches resolution, shows menu screen, mouse cursor freezes, no response whatsoever. Need reset button to recover. More tests to come tomorrow. Sounds like my issue. Same behaviour except I don't see a mouse...

Re: Hex-a-hop

I am stuck in the title screen. Cannot leave it nor select anything.

Mint 1.19.? Myaes 0.97.

But I only have 128 MB RAM. Maybe that's too little?

Which OS did you use? With the supervidel and Mint/myaes I get to the title screen but cannot start a new game, nor select anything...

Re: Firebee: the long game?

A st Emulator on the firebee would be nice (for games)... BlankVector ported old version of Hatari which works on the FireBee. But it is slow. Optimisation would be needed to gain the speed. Yes, I have seen that. But I think there might be a less cpu demanding way to emulate an ST on the firebee. ...

Re: Firebee: the long game?

Compatibility with legacy software is even less than clones like the Hades and Milan thanks to the CPU differences. I don't agree in that point. I also had a Milan for many years and I feel more software is running on the firebee. Mp3 player, games (Arkanoid) and such I was missing on the Milan. Bu...

Re: Firebee: the long game?

That means even st-low is working and displayed correctly with emutos? EmuTOS for the FireBee can switch to ST-Low, yes. It uses the same resolution dialog as EmuTOS on Falcon. But the picture is shifted due to bugs in the VIDEL implementation inside the FPGA. Fredi improved things a while ago, but...

Re: Firebee: the long game?

To make things clear: the Firebee can if course display VGA. Only st compatible color Video modes and 16 color modes are not fully implemented, yet. The Firebee can also display ST compatible and 16 colour modes. It's just that FireTOS doesn't implement these. EmuTOS (while not supporting any highe...

Re: Firebee: the long game?

Well I still really like the Firebee and it's a great machine and still the most compatible tos clone. No other TOS clone offers mp3 playback No other TOS clone has as much working games (arkanoid, philia, elansar, Alice's mom's rescue, scummvm with sound) No other TOS computer is capable of using t...

Re: Cometball - New Atari Falcon game released

Thank you very much for your kind words :) If there´s really a demand for a TT version I can do one with wav sounds instead of music. I am still investigating why sound routine is not working on TT, as it should work with any DMA... but I think I am not deep enough into coding at the moment :( But w...

Re: Crown of creation test:

I got some Disks that were written with kyroflux. Unfortunately they did not work :(

They have been made from kyroflux Images. Already during installation it claimed I have to insert original disk.

I think it's disk #3 that causes trouble.

Best regards,

Omikron Basic logical Screen

Hello, Is there a way in Omikron Basic to use a logical screen? Or Switch Screen addresses? As I didn't find a way I tried the following: For example I have a Background Image loaded on physical Screen. (True color 320*240) I copied the whole screen with bitblt: Bitblt 0,0,320,240 to 320,0,320,240 T...
