Except well known classics mentioned here several times, I remember fondly a game called "Blue Angel 69". Nice music and quite a good graphics these old days.

Re: Hatari 1.5.0 under GNU/Linux short manual

First of all, thank you very much for proof reading and constructive feedback. Your suggestions made the whole manual much better in scope of installation process. However, I decided that your suggestions should be left here on the forum. The blog article I posted on my website is a kind of record -...

Hatari 1.5.0 under GNU/Linux short manual

Hi guys, Having some spare time between X-mas and New Year's Eve I'm experimenting with emulation on my SuSE 12.1 Linux box. First experiment was to install Hatari 1.5.0 from sources and make simple, fast configuration to enable hard disk drive image usage as well as easy applications and data excha...

Re: Games on ST that impressed you most?

All games listed here impressed me very much. Anyway, I have special memories related to Vroom, but also to F16 Falcon - my best game on ST for the whole period of having ST as my main computer. I also remember, that F16 Falcon faded away, when I received a copy of F29 Retailator. Another nice game ...

Re: Amiga trying to be a ST LOL

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K4ta4OYhsEY Well, I would rather say it's quite an interesting achievement on Amiga scene. However, I'm sure it will be interpreted as a yet another fact on how Amiga was superior than ST for all these Amiga fanboys. You know - for me both machines are great, but ST/S...

Re: 'The ST Assembly Language Workshop' book (HYPertext release)

This might be useful for beginners since it teaches assembly language. This is 'Volume 1' If you want the disk that came with the book it's here: http://dev-docs.atariforge.org/ Use the search option and search for 'taylor'. Note: At the moment I posted this, the site was down. Please try at a late...

Re: Monty on the Run - with real rodent!

And Youtube videos hardly qualify as Games related.... Why? I don't agree. This video is inspired by the game, so it's definitely related to games. Nice video btw. - it's a pity they used a hamster instead of a mole :-) Please note, that 'being related to' doesn't mean 'being a member of' the same ...

1) It's a good idea to think about memory expansion up to 14 MB using dedicated SIMM adapter. 2) Falcon is a nice choice for some tracking - the sound quality is still quite good and there are some really nice software Check the http://www.dhs.nu - look for the link to the tracking category. 3) Falc...

Re: Emulating Spectrum 512 @ 8mhz

Maybe you should try to install different graphics card drivers? The older or newer ones for your card? Seems this could be the problem with the drivers. I had some problems with the Intel gfx card which was installed onboard of my workstation at work and I decided to disable the onboard gfx card an...

I have 2 core duo notebooks. You just have to answer some questions at the begining and then...

Small pack of echos ;-) I have no more.

As far as I know some older issues than 4th are gone forever. Even the original authors claimed they missed their copies :-( So, maybe someone can help surviving this part of ST history?

Nice comparision. This CGA example especially ;-)

It's a pity we cannot see the pictures on the real machines standing side by side, but still we can get the general idea and differences. It's enough for some creative thinking.
