Yeah saw that from my google news feed couple days ago.
It's asking for developers. I think the cool demo crews here should go for it. :D

Re: FreeMint on Mist: OK for GEM, stuck for Unix

Are you using the last dev version or the stable release? I can always open many bash, with the $home as /root and it shows on the prompt as so. cat of any /etc files works without any errors. I have not tried on the new dev release... it's on my FB. But I just moved my Falc out last week so the FB ...

Re: FreeMint on Mist: OK for GEM, stuck for Unix

Don't own a Dung so I am not sure how the environment is like, especially for the SD part. D: is formatted as ext2 drive. Other funny thing, it seems the ext2 access is single process exclusive. I can open a shell (sh or tcsh), but if I try to launch a second one I got the following error pid 7 (des...

Re: Ethernat Toast?

Well I find Mint to be very flakey when it comes to networking. At the moment my netusbee/mint config has stopped working too, totally random. Last night it was working, this morning it's not. I have no explanation. I disagree. I think most of the issues is the hardware. The hardware retrofits basi...

Re: [SOLVED] HxC SD reports SRAM test fail ;-(

Well they all say RTFM.... and truly did not. :( The v1.8.x firmware needs this SRAM to write to the SD card. Mine was the older HxC that does not have the needed SRAM, so I cannot use firmware above v1.7.x. Downgrading the firmware to v1.7.x makes it write into the SD card again. :D Should h...

Re: Dirty Ext2 FS every time on FireBee...what's the issue??

Don't think it has anything to do with $HOME as it is set automatically, nor the read-only fs because it is about reading the config file. So I delete the CFG file from the TOSWIN2 folder and the console default to white font on black background on start up after a reboot. I changed the font, foregr...

Re: What is the best Snapshot for Radeon card

Guess the "direction" needs to be taken into account, not only the delta: You can't map for example (0,0,3) to (0,3,0). graftool shows that it's possible without any blurs: Run in 8-bit and load a 24-bit image, it has to do the same job as my snapshot-program. Great stuff. When to google ...

Wow... neat, I never figure out how to approximate match a colour.

And also the new Toswin2.
The console window settings was not saved, I tried 2 times. My bash windows settings were saved.
I had to edit the CFG file to get the settings in for the console window.

Btw, a regression with very similar symptoms had been introduced in January 2017 in the FreeMiNT kernel, a fix is available: https://github.com/freemint/travis-pr/tree/master/builds/freemint/42/new (before it gets accepted/merged), feel free to try it out if you suffer from the problem (but remembe...

Re: Driver for CF and SD card

You can make a large ZIP file copy from A: to your CF and then copy back to A:.
Take over to your windows/Mac computer and do a ZIP CRC check... this will catch any data corruption.

I think the CF / IDE ports are faster than SD port. But I may be wrong.

Since the drivers are all already inside FireTos, I do not use any other drivers at all. There is no hhdriver nor Pperdriver nor BigDos nor AHDI on my FireBee. For new CF preparation, I use linux ( liveCD on USB as my main computer OS is actually Windows). Gparted is the tool I use. I think only lin...
