Re: PH Easy Remote Print - RAW, LPD, Google Cloud Print & parallel port redirector

My successrate with Ataris and modern printers (either via lpd or dumping PCL-output directly) as so far been 0%. Older printers works better, but if I still had an older printer that worked... So i had slightly better success rate. These are from my Epson L4160 wireless colour inkjet printer - usi...

Re: PH Easy Remote Print - RAW, LPD, Google Cloud Print & parallel port redirector

But that does not solve the problem of the driver. LPD (or CUPS) just provide a networking interface. The output produced by the Atari-programs must still match something that the printer understands. ...which is why I suggest to use a server on a modern computer to transform the output to somethin...

Re: PH Easy Remote Print - RAW, LPD, Google Cloud Print & parallel port redirector

Because there are already server on Windows/Linux/OSX that the Atari can talk to for printing called lpd.
The Atari can also talk to printers directly.

In any case, commenting some code and disabling some button take a bit lesser time than configuring CUPS or LPRng for those OS.

Re: PH Easy Remote Print - RAW, LPD, Google Cloud Print & parallel port redirector

Looks like Google will be dropping Google Cloud Print at the end of 2020. Announcement here: https://support.google.com/chrome/a/answer/9633006?hl=en So i will probably remove that function nearer to the date. it's a real pity as I liked this service as it allows printing of most well-known format w...

Re: CT63 TOS builtin network driver configuration

@Wongck: Thank you for your attention in PM, I can use the Realtek network card in TOS again. I had to turn off the IP address assignment in the Control Panel in CT60conf.CPX. I would like to describe my experience of using the network card in plain TOS. As a TCP / IP stack I use Sting and the TOS ...

Re: CT63 TOS builtin network driver configuration

If I undesrand correctly you cant configure DNS servers for the built in network. I think it it the same as with the FireBee. If I am correct it is meant to be able to boot from the network not to be uses as general tcp/ip stack. But you can use it to browse via IP addresses directly. Ok, then that...

CT63 TOS builtin network driver configuration

So it been years I wanted to try the CT63 TOS builtin network driver. Since Kroll asked me about STING on CT63, I decided to take a look again at the builtin network. Previously, I was trying to use STING to configure it but STING never saw it. Turns out that you can just boot with the network enabl...

Re: Changing the text resolution (Graph?) mode and printing special caracters

This doesn't seem to work with printf. I'm trying to print characters listed in "Graph" there: http://joyfulcoder.net/retro/?p=a8,,atascii It is 8-bits font set not ST. if you look at the webpage given, you can navigate to that page from the Atari 400 800 tree. What are you trying t...

Re: ORCS 2.17

I do not have a network share on my computer, the entire package is actually unarchived inside a folder, which is located inside the default download folder. Does the CHM file need to be in a specific folder? I don't have that security sentence and no unblock in the properties, just a blank white ar...

Ok... so I found a problem.... it's the CHM files. It opens up with the navigation panel but there is nothing on the RHS content panel.
May be Win10 does not understand this old help format???
At least, there is the HTML version.

Thanks for updating it. ORC was the 1st resource editor that I used back in the 80s when I was fiddling around with programming. Saw on Amimbay (or somewhere amiga forum I can't bothered to remember where) that the TF534 is no longer available but they are waiting for TF536 to be ready.
