Re: Boot res for Mint and NOVA

Glad you got it working. I remembered my Mint was booting to 1024x768 on my Nova but I just selected the rez from MENU. I did not have to make a bib file, too complicated to decipher in German. Wongck, this wasn't the problem. My Mint was also booting to the desired res. This was all about the scro...

Re: Boot res for Mint and NOVA

I have to look at my own HowTo webpage to answer this... LOL.... yes it been sometime I used my Nova, as I now using my Falcon/CT63 all the time. From your description, may be you missing the MENU.PRG or the configuration of it, as the EMULATOR.PRG will output low rez from the VGA only. So see if se...

The QUESTION is wrong !! You NEED to re-edit it to use the word RE-EDIT instead of edit. Because you can always edit a post but can only re-edit it up till after 6-hour. Man... i hope your 6 hours is not up yet  RE-edited! Tomorrow I could not have done it.   good for you !!!

Re: Editing a message

Yes, its at least funny ... Ha ha ha what is funny here is that I think that the Atari community here just do not want to loose out to others and have their fair share of protest... like others in country where the government tried to introduce a change and the whole country just protested and havi...

Re: HDDRIVER and DOS/Windows partitions

What also could make the difference is the length of the IDE cable. The Falcon is not that sensible as my Amiga 1200, where about 5 cm is just enough, but don't make it longer than about 25-30 cm. That might change a lot. If you need longer, convert to SATA. Totally agree. once I had a 12 inch 3-wa...

Re: Editing a message

I propose a tier / hierarchy system that allows certain action based on your level.
The level may be depending on number of posting ( e.g. >5000 allowed to edit OP) or level ( 4 stars allowed to edit) or number of years on this board (e.g. >5 years allowed to edit).

Re: HDDRIVER and DOS/Windows partitions

I have different experience. I now have a large collection of CF cards, from 64 MB up to 32 GB, brand named (Kingston, Trancent, Hama, ...), noname chinese ones, and relabled industrial ones (stolen from scrapped CISCO network devices, etc.). There is only one chinese noname which does not work. Bu...

Re: HDDRIVER and DOS/Windows partitions

Joska talk about IDE to SD-card (I misspell "SD", now I edit my previous post). and Joska, you also mention that it is hard to find CF-card that "works reliably with the Falcon". My Transcedent 8GB card works just fine... How this "reliability" affect data on CF-card? ...

So late, already. So late for Vampire. Vampires likes late and hates early when the sun comes up, so may be that's the issue here. On the hardware stuff.... well the true realities of life, it's all about the Ben. They are after all an Amiga house, if the money is good on the Atari front it may be ...

Re: HDDRIVER : CT63 crash at boot

Make sure that the devices and partition are setup correctly. IIRC Bus 2.0 and 2.1 should be on for master and slave.
My boot is HDD and my CF is 2nd drive. These are not hotswap, so i need to power on/off, that's another reason why i just use network.
Yes, I use Mint all the time.

CTPCI & DLink DFE-538TX **works**

So this is a RTL8139 based card from DLINK that I had for may be 3-4 years now. Even as this card was listed in the RTL8139 source code, It was not picked up by the driver due to wrong vendorid/deviceid. So this weekend, I decided to just add in the vendorid & deviceid into the current RFTL8139 ...

Re: HDDRIVER : CT63 crash at boot

For file exchange - Falcon <--> Win10. 1. I used 3-way IDE cable, HDD is boot and CF adapter for file transfer - FAT32 is used so LFN is OK, no need byte-swap TOS/Window compatibility mode. I actually use micro SD card, CF-SD adapter and SD-microSD adapter in the mix. MicroSD is better as can use al...

Well I always edit my original 1st post for my software announcements, with new features links etc.
So users do not have to scroll to the last one to read the new features etc.
So it is not possible now?
