Re: Using CSR8510 dongle to pair Sony pads

My hub is powered, I tried to change ports.. same results.
I tried other hubs, same results.

Is there a way to check this is a real CSR8510 without opening it :) ?
Or any command I can try to debug it ? (on MiSTer or on my linux laptop)

Using CSR8510 dongle to pair Sony pads

Hi, I bought a cheap USB BT dongle said to be based on a CSR8510 chip. It is somewhat recognized by MiSTer: [ 38.966294] usb 1-1: new full-speed USB device number 2 using dwc2 [ 39.146488] usb 1-1: New USB device found, idVendor=0a12, idProduct=0001, bcdDevice=25.20 [ 39.146501] usb 1-1: New USB dev...

Re: Newbie questions

Hi,
Another newbie question...
I saw some posts where people use their MiSTer on a CRT TV (not monitor), which kind of port could be used ? antenna ? composite ? And with which adapter ?

Thanks ! That's great on my HDMI tv but could be could to run it on my good old small CRT tv :)

Flausch wrote:Are you sure?

You don't need LOAD"*",8,1 for PRG (and never needed). That's only for D64, where you load the first file of the Diskimage.
For PRG you just need to mount it and type RUN.

ok :) sorry :)

Re: C64 Core

Hi,
Something changed in the last release, when I tried to load a PRG using LOAD"*",8,1 I have a FILE NOT FOUND error but if I type RUN it works.

CIA patch ?

Re: Genesis Core

@Sorgelig, ok ok :) after checking the history between the demo and how the emulators caught up... you did a fairly good job and I only noticed one difference at the end, the vertical borders missing during the arcade scene. All the others effects relying on the VDP undocumented debug register work ...

Re: C64 Core

Hi, I just tried the core's OPL2 option and 4mat's FMX Music Demo , it "works" but that's weird, I would say some volume issues, not sure, some sounds overlap. On my C64 and my FM-YAM cart, that''s pretty like the youtube video. Can somebody check if my ears have a problem ? (I start to ge...

yes. If you will do this :) That's a fair statement :) I can give it a try. I need first to find the posts and articles linked to this "exploit" when it was added to emulators, like this one: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ST9GbFfPnIjLT5loytFCm3pB0kWQ1Oe34DCBBV8saY8/pub

Titan Overdrive - everything is perfect now.
Titan Overdrive 2 - mostly OK. There is unknown cause of audio lag. Arcade scene flickers and won't be fixed (as it useless for games).

Any chance to get the Overdirve 2's arcade full screen effect fixed one day ? (I try ^^)

Re: MiSTer updater script

by the way, to load the rbf you can use command fpga: fpga <path_to_rbf> it will load rbf and trigger the reset. So, this loading is a little slower than load through menu, but should be ok for specific needs. Would it be possible to add an optional parameter to the fpga command to automatically mo...

Re: Arcade cores

Btw, I finally found compatible roms for the various arcade cores except Xevious. All the Roms I tried boot well, tests ok, title screen appears and game restarts the boot sequence and so on.
Any checksum I can use to check ?

I would appreciate if any of you Linux/MacOS users could try this new script: https://github.com/MiSTer-devel/Arcade-DonkeyKong_MiSTer/blob/master/releases/build_rom_DonkeyKong.sh Besides generating the ROM it will also verify its checksum. This feature was discussed at http://www.atari-forum.com/v...

same crc as the one I use. should be ok , did you toggle gameboy color in the osd ? the GB color splashscreen/bootscreen should pop up after reseting , even without game rom. edit: btw , I like your location  Yeah, black screen when switching to color mode. Hi,
Is it the good bootrom for the GBC ?

Code: Select all

Filename [BIOS] Nintendo Game Boy Color Boot ROM (World).gbc
Filesize: 2304
CRC 41884E46

renamed + moved to the good folder did not help... so I guess it is not...

Thanks !

Sorry to ask a very dumb question... Were should the ROM files located to get the arcade to run ? For example the copied the Joust MAME ROMs (joust.wg1, joust.wg2,...joust.wra) to a "ROM" folder, a "joust" folder, to the same folder where the core is located (_Arcade),... but alw...
