Re: St-Paint new version 27-12-2012

Oh... those are 2 of the pictures I sent you... . I think BUMPSTIS.PI1 is supposed to look that way: BUMPSTIS is a Degas .PI1 color picture of a STIS picture created (by A. Petrie?) using Phillip O'Neal's program STIS (for the Stereoscopic Image System). I just recently found out how to see these am...

Re: St-Paint new version 27-12-2012

I am glad to hear you are feeling better. As for the 2 pictures you have problems with that use "normal resolution", that is easy, even without giving you any source code. I have written my viewer in such a way that it first deals with standard resolutions and detections for ALL image form...

Re: St-Paint new version 27-12-2012

Great job, Peter. I hope your back gets better soon. And I'd gladly give you more help on the overscanned/underscanned images if you need a shortcut to making all of them work. By now, I have compiled a set of around 150 images in many combinations of overscanned/underscanned and the algorithm (expl...

Re: 4096 colors

I have had so much fun playing with PhotoChrome. The "v5.12 R2" version I am using is giving such great results in most cases. Having said that, I know there is only so much you can do with 48 colours per line (and, if I understand correctly, it's even slightly more restricted than that). ...

Re: RTC problem on Win32 build of Hatari 1.6.2?

Windows libraries localtime() reports NULL for dates before "epoch" (1970) which caused crashes for mingw compiled version of Hatari. This was worked around in Hatari so that when NULL is returned, a fixed date is used. Cygwin libraries that implement POSIX compatibility don't have this p...

Re: Steem For Dummies?

I am having a similar problem, even more so because I never owned an ST. There are so many versions of TOS to choose from and so many other settings and it seems to me that when I try to run some given application in this or any other emulator, I find myself trying a few dozen different combinations...

one thing, it could really be nice if the program had a auto zoom function, so that it zoom the picture to the size of the window. A zoom function would be cool, indeed! Re: Overscanned uncompressed DEGAS low-resolution images (.P

There is one thing I still have to mention here. Checking for a height of 1 (so 16x1, 32x1, 48x1, 64x1, ... 416x1) does not work with my algorithm since I divide by "height minus 1" at the end. If height is 1, this would lead to a division by zero. A height of 1 can only safely be assumed ...

Re: Overscanned uncompressed DEGAS low-resolution images (.P

can i ask how you check for the x,y size of the picture. i think it there my fails. When decoding an image, 8 bytes at a time are processed. Low-resolution mode is 4 bits per pixel, so 8 bytes hold 16 pixels. This is why the screen data always has to have a width that is a multiple of 16 pixels, or...

Overscanned uncompressed DEGAS low-resolution images (.PI1)

While adding support for overscanned/underscanned .PI1 images for the next version (1.15) of my Atari ST Plus Picture Viewer , I had a need for a bunch of samples of those .PI1s. So I created them myself: I took existing images, (1) used IrfanView for resizing them in 24-bit format, (2) used my own ...

very handy ! been using Atari picture Viewer but this one is even better. I tried many formats (pic, pi, pc, neo, pac, img) and all work fine just one thing, if you could add something like 'always open files in the current window' in the settings that would be great (not to have many windows all o...
