Re: Stos development contest for 2012 - too late?

I personally think it is far too late. STOS programmers wouldn't enter the Stos Coding competition that Vic Wright of ST Handbook started years ago and previous editors of Stosser Diskmag could never get much help from the STOS community when it came to asking for simple articles. I very much doubt ...

Re: Stosser

I was the last editor of Stosser and had to close it down because noone was contributing and I was doing everything by myself. Tony didn't want me to use his doc displayer anymore so I couldn't do any more issues without a displayer and didn't know how to write one myself. So issue 29 was the last a...

Re: Stosser

Deano here... Just to verify a few facts about Stosser under my ownership (issues 23-29). Yes it is due that it went downhill after issue 25 and went more like a general Atari diskzine. The reason for this was lack of articles, especially about Stos. The Stosser team knew that we were having problem...

Re: STOSSER

I sold my Atari years ago with all disks. However I wish I had backed up all my Stos code. I did upload all the software I wrote to my website except for the last game "Thinker". I don't know why I didn't keep Thinker because it was a good game. I took it over from Stosser Software and put...

Hey look what I found on YouTube Today. Stosser Software on YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IcorKovlKus This is the intro to Hero when it was released under IDS. This was Tony's only commercial release but it soon went freeware after a Guy called Andy Fern took over IDS. Some good atari game...

Re: A couple more stos questions?

Hi Nev, The "M" in mblit stands for merge. The Blit command is faster as it screen copys a image or a square image block along with any background behind it. The M Blit command was used to "merge" an image with a transparent background so it was good for sprite animation. Hope th...

Hi All Deano here. Hi Nev, I certainly remember you. Sinbad? You'll have to jog my memory. At present I am into the Internet Marketing and Website Design scene but I still hold on to my precious Stosser memories. I was thinking of putting together a Stos/Stosser tribute page but that will have to wa...

Re: STOS Adventure Creator & Misty

Hi Murder on the Diary Express (starring Detective Sargent Silly from Mobsters City) was written in STAC by James L Mathews of Power Diskmag/Power PD/Top Byte software for Silly Software. It was written especially for the Silly Games Pack which included Silly Reels and Grannies Garden - and not forg...

Ah yes the STOS Gigazine, that sounds familiar :) I used to do the STOS page in Power diskzine and ST+ Fanzine. I think one of my more popular articles were the ones for the missing link extention. I was the last editor of Stosser when it ended. I think I have just gone back to my youth, I think I'l...
