Re: No Video out with STFM

do you mean the RF port ? you'll need to connect it to the aerial socket on your TV and 'tune' it in. but as you have an FM, you can use the monitor port to connect to the AV socket on your TV, but you'll need to make a cable: http://info-coach.fr/atari/hardware/interfaces.php#rca_composite_cable or...

my german is a bit rusty but the kit listed -is- for controlling the fan, but for the megafile hard drive. which doesn't have a modem port, so probably not what you have in yours :/

Re: MEGA ST 2 - what could this strange add on be?

I recall there being a mod that would turn the fan on only when needed, presumably temp related, could be something like that. Instructions are on the vezz site but I'm on my phone so can't look at the archive, will post a link when I'm on a pc

Re: [PICS] NEC Accusync LCD51VM - working with VGA

Cool! - How did you hook it up? Is it just the normal DIN to VGA that you usually got mono through, or via SCART? I'm using the colour VGA cable. This is just a VGA monitor, no scart, no RF etc. It just happens to support the low refresh rates that the ST outputs :) cable info: http://info-coach.fr...

looking at google images, that looks like its just the 'standard joystick port' connector, which you should be able to get anywhere

Re: Multi-colored bars on startup

I had an ST with a similar fault and that turned out to be a bad shifter chip. The shifter is the chip inside the 'metal box' on the motherboard, if yours is socketed, check it's secure, could be an easy fix :)

[PICS] NEC Accusync LCD51VM - working with VGA

I'm not sure if this monitor is already 'known' the be working, but I picked one up today in a second hand shop for £6 after checking quickly online that it seems to go to 'low rez' frequencies. Got it home and some quick tests show it's pretty good. Medium res is a bit blocky and I couldn't gte a d...

Calm down man. You are really over top. In any normal forum someone would be banned already, some 10 posts back. You can not insult me. And my opinion is not standard, almost never is. Saying truth is not insult. But I think that I will finish here in day-two, not because insults, threats, but beca...

Re: Bad Apple by Fenarinarsa (Atari STe demo) !!!!!

Anyway, it was more an exercise for me than anything else. I had fun doing it. I did reduce the data, but first of all I wanted the best quality I could get of my old STE. I didn't mind the file size: I have many 1GB cards that are mostly empty. An Atari STE with 1GB of mass storage! Why would I sa...

Re: Value of a 2U Rackmount case for an ST = ?

the 'bars' on mine are just a bit of U shaped metal, spot welded to the case. I don't use that functionality on mine, I fitted blanking plates on the two 5.25 bays and set switches and the Eiffel display on them. I cut a separate hole in the side of the case for the floppy, where is normally is on a...
