your STF does not have the M - meaning it doesn't have the TV output so doesn't have composite available from the monitor port, which is why the cable you bought doesn't work.

Re: Hatari - RISC OS raspberry pi version?

Hi, This is fun! It works like a charm and straight 'out of the box'. I will tweak the settings as I go. This thing is really accurate and fast on RISC OS. I wonder if Franck Martineaux is still around - now that the fun really starts, it would be nice to have him around ;-) Spiny, thanks. nice one...

this is impossible, as the single game is not defined anywhere.

if you ASSUME that it's half the double game then yes, it's solvable.

Re: My new, compact Atari -> VGA adapter.

1) Will this board allow me to connect my STE directly to any standard VGA monitor (like if I went out and bought one from a shop today)? 2) Will I be able to switch between ST Lo / Med and Hi (mono) with the switch, while connected to the same modern VGA monitor? 3) Are there any video or sound ar...

Re: No Video out with STFM

do you mean the RF port ? you'll need to connect it to the aerial socket on your TV and 'tune' it in. but as you have an FM, you can use the monitor port to connect to the AV socket on your TV, but you'll need to make a cable: http://info-coach.fr/atari/hardware/interfaces.php#rca_composite_cable or...

my german is a bit rusty but the kit listed -is- for controlling the fan, but for the megafile hard drive. which doesn't have a modem port, so probably not what you have in yours :/

I recall there being a mod that would turn the fan on only when needed, presumably temp related, could be something like that. Instructions are on the vezz site but I'm on my phone so can't look at the archive, will post a link when I'm on a pc

Cool! - How did you hook it up? Is it just the normal DIN to VGA that you usually got mono through, or via SCART? I'm using the colour VGA cable. This is just a VGA monitor, no scart, no RF etc. It just happens to support the low refresh rates that the ST outputs :) cable info: http://info-coach.fr...

Re: Multi-colored bars on startup

I had an ST with a similar fault and that turned out to be a bad shifter chip. The shifter is the chip inside the 'metal box' on the motherboard, if yours is socketed, check it's secure, could be an easy fix :)

[PICS] NEC Accusync LCD51VM - working with VGA

I'm not sure if this monitor is already 'known' the be working, but I picked one up today in a second hand shop for £6 after checking quickly online that it seems to go to 'low rez' frequencies. Got it home and some quick tests show it's pretty good. Medium res is a bit blocky and I couldn't gte a d...
