Re: Req : "Audio Sculpture" (STX,...) even not running...

Yes please can you create KF images of the disks. Having different images of the same program is always interesting but with this one it is even more important. Please do not forget to indicate the version of the program. dissapointingly, the main disk appears to be dead, it's not working in any of...

Re: using external floppy disc drive to tranfer

Yes, but ...

A usb floppy will work in the way you want to, format the floppy on the atari and copy files to it using the PC. But you need to make sure you get a usb floppy that can read 720k. Some can only read high density.
I use a TEAC model on my Windows 10 pc to do exactly the same.

You need to use Joystick 1. Joystick 0 is the mouse port.

Ha, first thing that comes to mind about that "japfnt" is the intro of Pete demo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tkCej_Ngg6U heh, we 'borrowed' that font for our 24hour screen for that party, I wonder if Ripped Off ripped it from our entry or just though it was a good font and used it fo...

Re: Veeeery nice productions of 2019

Yeah the core of this forum has shifted over the years. Not much interest in the ‘scene’ - both flavours : demo and games. Hence lack of feedback with new stuff, Nowadays the activity concerns Mist stuff , each to their own, but no interest whatsoever for me. Grz yeah, it's a shame the forum seems ...

Re: Dead HD recovery (Mini S)

Drive just doesn't spin up or it shorts the PSU? Just nothing happens, the drive stays silent. So as said, either the drive is mechanically dead (although in this case I would have thought that it might have made *some* noise), or the controlling board is dead (in which case, it never sends any mes...

PS I'd post a picture but apparently the long standing bug at Atari Forum concerning file sizes is still in effect. It's supposed to be 500k or less but I can't load anything above 250k or so... :( PSS Fine. I'll post a link to another forum that will accept "huge" file sizes. :) https://...

Re: Dead HD recovery (Mini S)

If you mean to bypass it's own power supply and connect the drive itself to a PC power supply - yes, I had already tried that, with the same results - just no signs of life at all. Either the board is dead, or the motor is non functional, or possibly both. Replacing the motor requires a proper hard...

Posts are editable for 6 hours, so plenty of time to fix typos / broken links / image attachments etc. Happy with the overall change as it stops threads becoming confusing, but can it be changed to at least be 24 hours, 6 hours seems a bit restrictive to me. When I do get on here, which isn't often...

Re: Editing a message

Now i'm really upset. You only made the change to "prevent" abuse, but for no actual reason. What makes you think that suddenly, after all the years where it worked, something like this will happen? Still, you are ignoring the voices of the users and just stick to an unwanted change. Sorr...
