Re: Login time limit

Note that Opera is based on chrome engine, so maybe the common point is chrome ; but still it doesn't tell why this behaviour is so frequent only with atari-forum in our cases.

Re: Login time limit

I have this problem too. If I click "remember me" it will sometimes remember for a few hours, but randomly logs out. If I don't click it, I last only 10-20 minutes. My cookies are cleared when the browser closed, but not cleared when open. I have the exact same behaviour. But I wonder if ...

Re: Hatari 2.1.0 has been released

Is it something that is actively worked on? If not I might be interested in contributing as I have an interest in the Videl part (demo programming). Need to find some time first though. :-) There was some interest by Laurent S (thadoss) who worked on the videl part some times ago, but there was not...

Re: Hatari 2.1.0 has been released

Also, I have a question regarding the Falcon emulation of Hatari. If I remember correctly Hatari does not fully support all the features of the Videl of the Falcon030. Pleae excuse me if I'm mistaken. If I configure the Videl with a refresh rate to something like 55Hz, will Hatari respect that? I d...

Re: Hatari 2.1.0 has been released

But this was with "vsync" enabled in Hatari's setting ? Else I don't see how your monitor can switch to some different refresh rate. No, I have vsync disabled in Hatari. Vsync on would make the emulator try to sync to the monitors refresh rate. (144hz in my case) Vsync off with Freesync l...

Re: Hatari 2.1.0 has been released

So my experience with emulators and Freesync has been that you don't have to manually set the refresh rate if the emulator runs in exclusive fullscreen mode and lets you disable vsync Isn't that the opposite ? You need to enable vsync in Hatari screen option to have this to work. I've even noticed ...

Re: Hatari 2.1.0 has been released

So far, it's not used in Hatari (as I don't have such HW setup to test it (but I'm planning to replace my aging PC soon, so maybe later)), but WinUAE already uses it successfully. Nicolas I'll have to double check when I get a chance, but I remember Hatari 2.1.0 working perfectly with my Freesync m...

Re: Multi-Core support with Hatari?

This has been discussed already. It does not make much sense, not only because it is complicated to get the synchronization right, but mainly because hatari tries hard to do cycle exact emulation of both the cpu, video system, dsp etc., and the subprocesses (or threads) would most of the time just ...

Re: Hatari 2.1.0 has been released

Yeah, this is something that keeps me up at night. With 60Hz the new world standard for all things video, media produced in the age of 50Hz (or 70Hz DOS demos) is being ruined. Dynamic refresh technologies look interesting. It would make sense to lower refresh rate to the bare minimum when idle to ...

Re: Hatari 2.1.0 has been released

Hi but if you set ST to Mono, it will refresh frames (including sound) at 70 Hz, but as vsync is ON, the main vsync loop in Hatari will pause until the next 1/60 of sec. Thanks for the info. I was hoping it would use a multi-buffer approach, to generate 70 frames per second but only deliver 60 of t...

Hi but if you set ST to Mono, it will refresh frames (including sound) at 70 Hz, but as vsync is ON, the main vsync loop in Hatari will pause until the next 1/60 of sec. At 70 Hz a frame lasts approx 0.014 sec, so Hatari will generate sound for 0.014 sec every frame (based on the emulated video freq...

but here also maybe some people would like an option to filter it, which depends on what modules could be added to the forum to handle per user settings. +1 for a such resolution. Re: The FPGA and non-Atari cores deserve the cover of this forum?

Re: The FPGA and non-Atari cores deserve the cover of this forum?

@atarierno : I think Dal already explained the situation about the FPGA topics : it all started because Mist was first an atari centric platform, so it fitted the purpose of atari-forum to discuss it. Then over the time new cores were added, related to not-Atari platform. But it was an evolution ove...

Re: The FPGA and non-Atari cores deserve the cover of this forum?

From what I understand, some people think the recent topics should be filtered to keep only meaningful topics (assuming we can define what is really meaningful for everyone). But in that case, maybe the solution would be to keep the recent topics as it is now and create a new section "editors' ...

Re: The FPGA and non-Atari cores deserve the cover of this forum?

Re: Hatari 2.1.0 has been released

I just added better support to enable Large File Support in Hatari's cmake : C_FLAGS is now forced to "-D_LARGEFILE_SOURCE -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64" and size of off_t is checked to ensure it's at least 8 bytes. A warning message will be displayed if Large File Support is not available (but c...

Re: Hatari 2.1.0 has been released

I had a look and in fact it's cmake that set -D_LARGEFILE_SOURCE -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 For example, after running ./configure --cross-compile-win64_32 A file src/CMakeFiles/hatari.dir/flags.make is created with : C_FLAGS = -Wcast-qual -Wbad-function-cast -Wpointer-arith -Wmissing-prototypes -Wstric...

Re: Hatari 2.1.0 has been released

I didn't look, but it's likely off_t is redefined to off64_t too. That's altogether possible. I was grepping the header files from the Mingw32 distribution, which don't even have that define you quoted. The files from the Mingw64 distribution are a bit different though, and might have better suppor...

Re: Hatari 2.1.0 has been released

But that redefines only fseeko(), which is already a non-standard function (because fseek takes a long argument, which is always 32-bit only even on Windows64). It does not make the type off_t 64 bit. Similar for lseek64(), which is only available as separate function, and takes an off64_t offset, ...

Re: Hatari 2.1.0 has been released

How gcc was configured does not have much influence on this. It's more related which Win32 header files were used. The header files from the Mingw32 project do not have any option to make the type off_t 64-bit, you have to use explicit functions like fseeko64()/ftello64. Unlike unix, there is no wa...
