Re: How Can I get a setup Falcon 68030 at 32Mhz

The problem is the following: The Falcon has a register that can be used to select either 8 MHz or 16 MHz as CPU frequency. Hatari emulates this register, so if TOS or a program writes a value in the register, the emulator switches to 8 or 16 MHz accordingly. Now TOS seems to write to this register ...

Re: Hatari for Raspberry Pi

It's like STacy mono! Yes and this is not a bug, this is a feature !!! From what I read on the net it confirms Eero comment, libsdl for Pi has issues with the framebuffer, and I have not found a fix : so kind of dead end for now. You could try to use the latest development version of H...

Right, thanks for reminding me, Marcer, I completely forgot about that one. So I think I should use something with "fastcopy" in the name of the mime-type instead of "dim" to avoid confusion...

Registering mime-types for disk images

Hi all, I am currently considering to register some official mime-types (also called media-types) for the disk image types that are used for Atari ST emulation. As a start, I am looking at MSA and DIM images first. But before registering, I'd like to get some thought about good names. My current sug...

Re: Hatari in a browser

Works for me (FF34)! Crazy stuff, it even runs with proper speed! :o Did you have to do a lot of modifications to get it running? Actually, I tried to compile Hatari with emscripten already one or two years ago, but at that point in time, the compiler was not good enough yet to get it running proper...

Have you seen the CP/M archives here:

There is a cpm68k.zip there which is said to contain the sources for CP/M68k version 1.2.

Re: Hatari 1.8.0 has been released

Ok, so my hack with the extra-check for the longword access was a bad idea. I've now reverted that, and added another circumvention for ignoring the A1 line for the second command byte. The image with the buggy driver now seems to work as good as with Hatari 1.7.0 again.

Re: Hatari 1.8.0 has been released

I've now had a look at the ACSI issue, and the problem was/is that this hard disk driver is accessing the FF8604 and FF8606 registers with one long word access. Not sure whether this is "legal" on real hardware, since it might depend which register content is put on the 16-bit bus first - ...

Re: ST/STE games with bugs

Impossible Mission II has a glitch that allows you to continue playing after the time is up.
To exploit this bug, you've got to die in a certain room where's a step at the lower left entry.
I made a video here:

It's sad that so many promising games never was finished. Willie's would be also be dead if it weren't for Hatari. It's so much easier to develop and to find the time now. Good to hear that Hatari is helpful in finishing old games good games like Willie's :-) By the way, Willie was the first progra...

Re: Hard disk image and real Atari ST hard disk on emulator

Is there any option on Hatari of loading an ACSI image + GEM Hard Disk (windows folder) at the same time? One as C and the other as D. Yes, you've got to specify the drive letters of your GEMDOS hard disk manually, see http://hg.tuxfamily.org/mercurialroot/hatari/hatari/raw-file/tip/doc/manual.html...

I recently had a look at this emu - and it's definitely a port of CaSTaway (and it's also using some functions from Hatari)! This emulator clearly violates the GPL - so do not buy this!

I remember "Downfall". It's a nice two player game where you've got to direct falling snow into the right direction to beat your opponent.

Re: Ballerburg ported to Linux and other SDL systems

However, unfortunately the instructions under the 'Help' menu are still in German. And I would like to know more about building walls, taxes, etc etc. The new version of Ballerburg SDL now also includes a roughly translated version of the manual. You can read it online here: http://hg.tuxfamily.org...
