Re: FlashFloppy vs HxC

If HFE is fine, it is not much of a problem. HFE works fine for the HxC firmware. I don't know if FF can handle HFE files with 11 spt, though. I just created an 11 sector (902kb) HFE disk image using the HxC Emulator software and my FlashFloppy Gotek works fine with this disk image. I copied a fold...

Re: FlashFloppy vs HxC

11 tracks..is this a generic limitation to .hfe files aswell? Or limited to direct .st images in case of the FlashFlopy firmware? First of all: 11 sectors per track. Note that Jeff did not write that 11 sectors was the limit. See my 18 sectors per track DD(sic!) HFE image on: https://www.chzsoft.de...

Re: FlashFloppy vs HxC

I'd get a long time ago HxC if I could only pay via PalPal or PayU, without filling this form in French. 12€ is quite reasonable price (it'd be a nice dinner in a restaurant for one person in my country). I'd also like to know if I can flash Gotek with HxC, then go back to FlashFloppy or any other ...

Re: FlashFloppy vs HxC

FF firmware doesn't support PASTI/STX nor 11 Sector disk images. I have contacted its author and forwarded any info (mainly DrCoolZic's PDF) I had about these two problem, so it should be corrected. As I looked at the code the main problem was with sector gaps. Since this is a "VS" thread...

Re: FlashFloppy Gotek firmware updated to v0.9.3a

How are you finding flash floppy? Do you have HxC aswell? I have both. I have a Gotek with the latest HxC firmware loaded as well as a Gotek with the FlashFloppy firmware. I like browsing the disk image files and folders with an OLED display attached. I recommend using an OLED display and they are ...

HFEv3 still in an experimental state and i don't have finished its specifications. Anyway to keep you synced with the current format state and get the right implementation i recommend you to get the original and legit hxc firmware for gotek : http://hxc2001.com/store/index.html. Re: HxC floppy emulator in a classic MSDOS PC?

Is it possible to use the HxC floppy emulator (i have a spare slim version) with a DOS PC from the 80s? As far as I googled, there is no GUI software yet but twill it work with numbered images someway? Yes sure this is possible. And there is a file selector for PC ! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=...

Exactly what i suspected : This is not an HxC Floppy Emulator firmware... The HxC Firmware print "HxC" without stick. So you were scammed with a counterfeiting fw. Can you send me in PM the link/contact of this reseller ? To get a true HxC Floppy Emulator firmware : http://hxc2001.com/stor...

I love this interface with my HxC USB [smilie=greencolorz4_pdt_12.gif] I do have an issue with the recent BETA firmware 3.0.8.2a that supports the ST/IMG disk images seems to corrupt the CFG file, and refuses to recognise the USB disk on the next cold start, :( will test this again tonight. Re: MicroCosmos sad news...

Timing depends, of course, on the CPU as well. I don't have personal experience with the CMOS part, but the 68HC is supposed to be fully compatible, even on undocumented features. The asynchronous delays in the same cycle, such as tCO, are probable smaller (note that doesn't mean less cycles). Conc...

Okay, I dint know that, I found a program that easily and very quickly converts from MSA to ST What is recommended to convert either to HFE? Thank you. FYI the Gotek HxC firmware directly support *.ST file format as well ADF, HFE and IMG...
And this will be also the case for the new hardware coming up.
