Re: Cracktro / Demo menu disk assembled to go along with my YouTube Channel!

Hello Stefan, No, it is not limited to 60hz, it does 50hz just as well. The majority of the Youtube posts should be in 50 fps. The recording software takes the incoming frame rate and saves that way to an MP4, and if the frequency changes, like 60 to 50hz, a new file is created on the spot. I can no...

Re: [Project] Scroll Texts

I have transcribed maybe 3 to 4 items total, and these were things that were short, not too long. Otherwise, Adrenalin Ripper 1.09, with a side of either MegaDP or NaughtyBytes depacker when the Ripper can handle it. Some times I need to resort to the Ultimate Ripper, but my success rate is extremel...

Re: [Project] Scroll Texts

I've been going thru similar, pulling out scroll texts from menus, and popping the recordings of the scrollers on youtube (~80% of the time off a real ST), and the scroll text over on a companion blog. Been hitting CD groups from STonish, and a mix of cracktros and demos and a couple mega demos. Bas...

Re: Cracktro / Demo menu disk assembled to go along with my YouTube Channel!

C.I.D. is just short for Cracktros/Intros/Demos, nothing to do with "Criminals In Disguise" "Retro PlayThrus" is fine for group, since I'm doing this in connection with the YouTube channel. And Mouse Master is fine. 2 more disks are complete, coming in the coming months, with ano...

Just tossing in my $0.02, I would not think this is an early drive, because it does not have the large eject button as seen here -> http://www.computinghistory.org.uk/det/ ... isk-Drive/

Re: [pics] Homebrew Mega STe case

It has been way too long to remember how I tested these boards, I know at a minimum that the Mega STe DIAG cart and plugs were used on each, and from there they were either GOOD, BAD, or ? (questionable). I want to say 2/3 of the boards I received had TOS, 2.05 US, not sure why more did not, none ha...

Re: [pics] Homebrew Mega STe case

I know some of the origin story of that motherboard...... Well, a group of 100 or so Mega STe motherboards. They came from Toad Computers in the USA. Before they were at Toad, Atari Corp had shipped the full systems from a warehouse in California to a company to destroy them. This company crushed th...

Re: Bank Transfer for latest CosmosEx batch

I have run into the address issues with my personal bank as well, and have been waiting just shy of 2 weeks on an email response also. I tried 3 other banks (2 I have relationships with, and 1 I do not) and they would not do wire transfers for products. Bank security in the US has really tightened up.

Re: What I have been doing, Sierra Fan Game Conversions and more

Super necro post bump! As my Falcon is currently not flying (tried everything except going back to stock from the CT60, have to find the original power supply which has been packed away for well over a decade), I put in a good 40 hours of testing/fixing 'Space Quest - The Lost Chapter' fan made AGI ...

Re: Scumvm

Can anyone tell me how to get RAW midi output working? The driver is called STMIDI and that is what it is supposed to do. When I select this option my Falcon just locks up with a black screen, in mint or tos. I have a real MT32 so this is why I want to get it working. IIRC, the ST Midi driver can n...

Re: Dune II / OpenDUNE for Falcon (and TT)

I'm on travel unfortunately, so I haven't been able to try this, but I have been following. I have a CT60 Falcon and can hook up to an MT32, unfortunately, I have an extremely busy next 2+ months. :( Besides the Falcon, someone probably should also try this on the Firebee. I am not sure if this will...

I was so interested when I first saw this thread and the 68k build. Re: ScummVM 1.8.0pre for 68k/020-60/5475 for the brave...

That is odd. I get speech on my CT60 with Broken Sword in game. The intro, well, forget it. I get the ogg audio playback, but no video, which I figured would be the case with the loseless video compression. Right now I am watching my CT60 struggle with the playback of the game Hopkins FBI. It works....

I think the lack of voices is because flac is not linked in, I think the voice files are available as ogg files, not sure it they would playback well.

Smacker video, that is bink video support, i do not have high hopes for that, but i will check it out on my ct60 when i finally get home

I'm on a train, so this will be quick. RE broken sword, is the intro mpeg2 encoding? I do not recall. Was gameplay and sound fluid? I know that title played pretty rough on the ct60 RE pak, my guess is currently it would be a bad experience. Memory needs is probably around 64 megs, and the graphics ...

ScummVM 1.8.0pre for 68k/020-60/5475 for the brave...

ScummVM 1.8.0 is set to be released on Feb 26, 2016. I have built, but not yet tested, packages for 68000, 68020-60, and m5475. Main reason I have not tested is because I am on travel, and the earliest I can even try try to test is in 5 or so days. So, built these on my laptop in the hotel. The vari...

Re: NEW IDE Controller & TOS 2.06 board (with extras)

Mmm... Interesting to see a CF card not boot, yet your SanDisk SSD does. So maybe there's more to it than just the interrupt line. I've never seen this happen before though. Any more details you can share on this non-booting CF card KeithS ? Adapter I am using: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product...

Re: NEW IDE Controller & TOS 2.06 board (with extras)

I have a 16 Gig Kingston CF Card on an IDE adapter. I can not boot from it, but I can read it fine when booting from floppy, no problem partitioning. This is using the latest HD Driver and a Mega STE. I can boot fine from a 64 Gig SanDisk SATA SSD. Just sharing my experience. I am not worried about ...
