Ubuntu and the .AMS

Hi there, I am looking for a program that will play the old Advanced Music System (I and II) music files on my Ubuntu 14.04 LTS system. I have the music but I can not play them, except through my Atari800 program (but only through .ATR format and selected disks that people have created with them on ...

Joke DOS

I somehow remember one time there was a diskette for the Atari 8 bit systems that was a DOS that was done as a joke, it was for a practical joke to put on someone. It did some silly stuff, like pretending to format your disk, the directory was all the same file, etc... if anyone knows what it was ca...

Re: Timeworks Desktop Publisher

I haven't run Timeworks on STEem, but I do remember running it in Gemulator, and as far as I can rememebr it ran quite well, I was able to load up files I had saved 10 years ago on my STE floppy disks. Might be worth trying it out! GEMulator...hmm...I never used that, but I really can't as that I'm...

NeoDesk 4.X

Hi there... I am wondering does anyone have a disk image of NeoDesk 4.X (whatever the latest version is) and had it successfully load up in STEem? I have it auto load onto my "hard drive" and would like to replace the regular desktop with that of NeoDesk 4.X I have had the demo load up pro...

Re: Timeworks Desktop Publisher

Has anyone had this program work with STEem? It installed with no errors but I can't run it, saying INTERNAL ERROR. I tried v1 on Steem to see if I could help. Installation was OK, but when running FONTWID.APP hung up with TOS 2.06, 1.06 and 1.04; 2 bombs with 1.62. If I run PUBLISH.APP directly I ...

New to STeem

Hi there, I'm new to using STEem. I am wondering is there a program that I can use to play the old 8 bit .AMS files. I used to have such a program when I had my Atari 1040STe hooked up but I can't for the life of me remember what it was. I would like it to go through my sound card. I know the sound ...
